much needed updates, i hope they won't take 2-3 more years to finally implement these things... i very much enjoy flying the huey and have to thank belsimtek for hours and hours of fun flying, but it just misses this little bit of extra realism to the simulation to be almost perfect!

There are a few different mods to clean up the windscreens in the Downloads User Files section which are easy to apply. My ground crew have the windows sparkling clean and also applied Rainex! No need now the use the windscreen wipers any more because the water can't stick to the windscreen. :smilewink:

Best Regards....Kev*

This will make an already brilliant representation about perfect.

I'm wondering if it took the 1.5 update to be able to implement this. It seemed an odd thing to leave out.

Will the Mi-8 get it too?

Thanks Belsimtek!

I just looked at all the files in the download section here and filtered for the Huey and did not find a single one that does this. Do you happen to have any links? Thanks!

EDIT: Never mind. Did a search  and found one:

Heat modeling is really going to change how many of us fly our Hueys. I assume many of us fly at max engine throttle settings and just leave it there, knowing we're over-temping our engine by 30C or whatever. Going to have to change my concept of a "normal" cruise speed from 120kts down to the recommended 109 kts empty, and in the low 90s with a load.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Just maxing the throttle? Don't forget to set the governor to emergency for a little extra power ;)

I'd be happy with some decent missions. There are "some" but they are all over the board, hard to tell what version of the game they work with etc.....

Sigh, such a fun bird to fly.....

I hope this will also apply to the AI for the campaign as it seems to like to pull max power all the time and makes it very difficult to stay in formation with. If not, this will make it impossible to keep up with the AI.
