Please stick to one version of DCS World until it is final.

 

"Additionally, it is important to note that due to this change in the protection system, switching between 1.2.16 and 1.5 will yield a re-activation prompt.

Currently, we recommend that you stick to one version of DCS World until 1.5 is Final."

 

Damn ! Lost 3 activations by trying to switch from 1.2 to 1.5 and "virce versa" :(

Damn indeed I get in my 1.2.6 install an error with the activation, I get "integrity error of the key" or something. Online it shows it is activated though. What a mess!

Are you using both 1.5 and 1.2.16 at the same time?

 

This is not supported. To fix this error (if it persists) run the regfix here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=136153

Solved! Thanks Cobra, yes I fly the openbeta alongside 1.2.16. But this was a re-install issue, PC broke down. I now succesfully installed the Mig on 1.2.16, will keep it at that!

After asking every time I try to run 1.5 beta for an activation key, know this dam***ed activation thing tells me that my key is not valid, but it's exactly the key I am shown in my porchase history at the ED store that I copy&pasted to re-activate again. What should I do? That's not a product prevention for theft but a users pain to use such a system to check if one is using software illegally. After we could easily log into our account within DCS why don't you change this faulty activation system and check over there if someone is legimit to use your software?

Are you trying to use 1.5 and 1.2.16 concurrently?

Was trying with 1.5 (exactly it's 1.5.2.48726) as this is the only version besides 2.0 (were I know that the 21 has some problems) I am using currently and I get everytime this error (see picture) though I had re-activated it several times without luck that it keeps this information but demands everytime I load DCS again a new activation - adn I have a valid Key purchased directly via DCS Shop (not Steam etc.) and I am using DCS only on 2 PCs - one for testing one for playing and that's the only module that makes trouble :(

I am not worried about DCS and activations if you run out. I have run out on other products through the years and it's a simple request to ED or their partners and they do a simple check that you are the owner of their software product and 10 or so activations appear. Great and they act fast too, good customer service with ED products.

 

However, my controls are still frozen in the cockpit of my Mig21 in DCS 1.5 and I can't do the 'follow the white rabbit' thing cos my controls won't WORK !!!!

What is that means ?!

 

It means that you can only install modules by opening the game and going to your module manager. This works the same in both standalone and steam versions of DCS World.

I have problems on DCS startup after update to DCS 1.5.2, it says that there’s a MIG-21 module error and that’s it unable to run because of a integrity fault of the activation key.

 

 

I can't play MIG-21 and the error message shows up every time I startup DCS.

 

 

I already mailed this and the error report to 'support@leatherneck-sim.com' on 05/01/2016 but I haven't received any answer to date.

 

 

Can you please help Cobra847?
