flo57100 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Hi Hip pilots ! I noticed That pilot and copilot's lateral cockpit windows have some kind of "bulby shape" to alliw crew to have a better downside view. In a future update, would it be possible for track IR users to "extend" the view in that "bulb", allowing us to have a much more precise downside view ? I think that would greatly help and add even more realism :smilewink:
MauganRa84 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Great idea. +1 ...Sheila rides on crashing nightingale. Intake eyes leave passing vapor trails... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Askerov24 Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 It would be even better if we could look outside of the cockpit when the windows are open. What do you think guys? Acer Aspire E5-571G-713W/Intel® Core™ i7-4510U 2.0-3.1GHz/12 GB DDR3 L Memo/NVIDIA® GeForce® 820M 2 GB/1000 GB HDD
MauganRa84 Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 To be able to poke my head out of the open window would be amazing. ...Sheila rides on crashing nightingale. Intake eyes leave passing vapor trails... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sniperwolfpk5 Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 I would like this option Win10, Intel 3rd Gen. Core i7 3.8Ghz, 20GB ram, Nvidia Geforce 1060 6GB Opentrack (Download it from HERE), PS3 Eye, Saitek x52-pro Joystick, DIY Rudder Pedals, Google Cardboard with DCS World English is not my native language
Rogue Trooper Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 This would be a wish of mine. Especially if we get lighter observation choppers with no doors. it would be good to look out and down through the skids. HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled. DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!. Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.
jimcarrel Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Good idea, but don't forget framerate cost. You would be loading extra data into GPU memory to be able to see outside of helicopter along with inside the cockpit. Of course they wouldn't have to load the entire outside surface, but still..... Win 10 64 bit Intel I-7 7700K 32GB Ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gig
Dyk Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 You are right but for Mi-8 the first step is to extend limit closer to the bulb. May it could be enough to get on the level of frame of the window so no need to add outside parts. No doubt it would be great feature. My skins on DCS User Files, Enjoy! ________________________________ FC3, Mi-8, UH-1, CA, L-39, AV-8B, F-14
