Shez Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Returning after a 3 years or so. What DCS world is everyone using? Thanks, Shez _:Windows 10 64 Bit, I7 3770 3.4Ghz, 16 Gigs Ram, GTX 960, TM Warthog, Track IR 5 w/Pro Clip:_
Brisse Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I think many of us have multiple installs. Personally I have uninstalled 1.2.16 and have 1.5.2 open beta and 2.0 open alpha. Sometime during spring it will all be merged back into one version.
javelina1 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I've archived 1.2 to my HDD. I'm only flying 1.5 beta and 2.0 alpha (via my SSD) as of now. No going back... 1.5/2.0 is much better. MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control

Blaze Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Thanks. Guess I'll go with 2.0 and see how it goes. Lots of downloading to do :) Just so you know since you're going the 2.0 Open Alpha route: 2.0 works only with the new Nevada terrain map. It's a separate download, and is not free*. The Black Sea map is not included in 2.0 as it does not currently work with the T4 terrain engine, so if you want that map install 1.5.1 Open Beta. Next year we should hopefully see that map working and then everything will be merged. *Customers that purchased DCS: A-10C Warthog while it was in beta (prior to February 21st, 2011) will be provided this map FOR FREE! Shez Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Thanks guys. Everything is installed. Now for the daunting task of setting up my G940 and learning everything again. _:Windows 10 64 Bit, I7 3770 3.4Ghz, 16 Gigs Ram, GTX 960, TM Warthog, Track IR 5 w/Pro Clip:_
recoil17 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Thanks guys. Everything is installed. Now for the daunting task of setting up my G940 and learning everything again. It'll all come back fairly easily. I stopped playing the A-10C back in 2010 during the BETA. I always felt the terrain didn't match the fidelity of the A-10C and it felt out of place. Once I heard NTTR was being released soon, I hopped back in and the A-10C feels great in the new map. I can't wait for Strait of Hormuz! Welcome back!
