Sleek Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 check it out..http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/flight_simx/ Be Good..Be Strong..:drink: ;)
Shaman Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 To all those who don't want to pay some AD-SPAM company to have possibility to download Flight Simulator X beta from their servers - I tell you hold on. I'm sure beta will be available on peer-to-peer networks in no time. Think of it as try before buy. I personally want to just check if my addons will work with new version of this sim and if there's ANY improvement to flight model. My PC can't run all that fancy graphics, but it will be neat to see how it chokes to death. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
ALDEGA Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Paid-subscribers only... yuk ;) The Company of Heroes beta on FP however is free. Go figure.
Force_Feedback Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 And I bet you will get some kind of 'research' software installed, so they all know what bank you use, how much you pay for your weed, and if you watch porn, you will get dick enlargement mails. But, you get to fly a buggy demo of fs-10, oh, and you'll have to pay for a subscription. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
AJ.eightFive Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Yeah I can wait, already had a chance to play FSX at the Canadian Aviation Expo about a month back and I'd rather not pay into FilePlanet; there will be an open beta shortly behind you can be sure.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Beta will be also available from microsoft.com Robbie.
ARM505 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Er...will Microsoft just give out the beta? I take it that there'll be some kind of time limit or something like that?
SuperKungFu Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I'm interested in FSX's scenery so no more do i have to do a "dance" when i install MS2004 with all its scenery addons. I'm just going to shove some of the planes i have now into FSX and see how it runs. Or i can just go to washington and be one of the first 400 people to get a free copy at the expo. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
hitman Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I am personally against all kinds of macintrash computers until they start letting me play Americas Army and all other PC games again. Not even a buggy software like Xp (no matter how good it is), its still microsucks.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Or i can just go to washington and be one of the first 400 people to get a free copy at the expo. I'm lucky, I'll have the copy very soon, my bro is a programmer in microsoft.. Robbie.

Hopefully this is a new build with some performance fixes. Can you ask him if they have put a crash and damage model in it? I'm just curious about this but the graphics look good also I wonder what the performance will be like with a multicore using vista. (dx10) [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
JG27_Arklight Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Paid-subscribers only... yuk ;) The Company of Heroes beta on FP however is free. Go figure. It is free now, the closed beta came out for paying customers about 3 weeks or so ago. It had an update released for it and then was released to the public. It's sort of a limited demo though, I wish they had included more SP instead of just the tutorial missions. I'm just curious about this but the graphics look good also I wonder what the performance will be like with a multicore using vista. (dx10) I remember they got rid of that feature past FS2002. IIRC they got rid of it because a.) post 9-11, didn't want anyone crashing into anything. b) they had to model damage models which was more work and each addon can't have that. It's hard enough to get some planes with proper 2d pits and 3d pits. But you could activate a particular plane to have damage effect after changing something with notepad but its really stupid. Once you crash you just see a big fire (with the plane still intact) and everything pause and you basically quit or start over. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Hey man, in new intel processo Macintosh you can install both MacOS and WinXP.. and play what you want.. but faster.. Robbie.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 about Microsucks .. why don't you install any other os ? there are many.. then you'll see what really sucks.. I'm pretty happy about my comp, no pirate software, no p2p, all working good and flawless... always.. Robbie.
Shaman Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 :noexpression: I'm not sure I understood what you were talking about. Neither did I. That was the goal of my post. I pretty much didn't understand the post I replied to. So I made a little joke. I wrote completely unlogical post in Polish, then run it through on-line translators back and forth several times, and here's my little monster. :smartass: 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
