They recently (this year) announced it will be out in late 2016.

The Air-Ground Radar is currently the main hump that they are working on.

the 3rd party [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpcUu5YZFmI]F/A-18E Super Hornet[/ame] is a probable bust as we have not heard from the dev in a long time with the last anouncement that the project was on hold.

the F/A-18C Hornet in development by ED themselves appears to be progressing well. The January newsletter stated a probable 2nd half of 2016 release

Coretex 3rd party was gone two years ago, lost your 3rd party status license and the F/A-18E project cease of exist. Some of your members form a new 3rd party (Polychop simulations), actually in final path to get a new module (Sa342 Gazelle) and other 2 projects on good course (Bo-105 helo and Ju-87 Stuka).

ED has work on F/A-18C module, as other folks has talk, expected initial release at last 2016.

Actually, none of officially 3rd parties work on a F/A-18E, as We know.

Bummer. From the looks of that teaser looks like a lot of work went to waste there :/ Always wondered what happened to Cortex.

Do anyone have any idea how classified Hornet systems are these days? Are they completely de-classified or are there still some things that cannot be accurately simulated? I usually prefer older planes but Hornet is the only study level complex modern jet i am really interested in.

Super Hornet, why you be all like "**** you guys, I'm sexy as hell, you won't see me no mo." After we be all like, "damn girl, you be all like snapping that sound barrier like a boss."

Huh... so this is what a stroke feels like...

since eagle dynamics is going with the C model, I would imagine most of the stuff would be declassified. However with the A-10C, Waggs said in an interview that they left some stuff out at the request of the Air Force. So there might be some things left out however it shouldn't affect the realism of what is implemented.

Also while I have been flying the M-2000, i have to agree that the f18 is the most interesting of the modern sims they have planned... After all it's a multirole fighter that can use aircraft carriers as well, I don't see why it wouldn't end up more popular than the A-10.
