Good question, The SU33/A10 mod officially released for realism includes GBU's and those do at least 3x the damage as MK20's do! SU-30MKI F/A-18F ...Beauty, grace, lethality.
Guest IguanaKing Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 So does my LOPE mod for the A-10, along with BL-755s, which would only be loaded on the A-10 in a war-time emergency. They do MASSIVE damage if CCRPd from 14,000', often killing 3 or 4 armored vehicles at a time.

Pilotasso Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 If the A-10 can do it, with the existing HUD symbol functionality, theres no reason to consider a cheat. Im in favour to adjust certain issues like this on all aircraft, since the fix is simple. .

Flip It doesn't, normally, but it IS capable of carrying it. There is a slight compatibility problem with the fusing system though, BL-755s dropped from A-10s can possibly, prematurely, dispense the submunitions.

IIRC, AFSC has done experiments with launching Hellfires from the A-10. Wait...Hellfire and Brimstone...:D If on-line cheats are based on real aircraft capability, then many of the stock loadouts for the A-10 that come with FC are cheats. A-10s don't carry 65s on any station other than 3 and 9, but FC lets you put 1 each on 4 and 8 also.

Flip Not sure about the colors of the missile bodies, the most important color is the stripes on them. The 65K in LOMAC though has a warhead smaller than it should be, and it lacks the magnification capability it should have.

Guest IguanaKing Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Station 4 isn't visible in that photo, and MERs were never approved for use on the A-10. TER-9s are the standard on A-10s, not MER-10s. They were evaluated, but not approved. The AGM-65s in that photo are on Stations 3 and 9, just like they should be. Also, AGM-65s wouldn't be carried on TERs. They are carried on LAU-88s. :P

Guest IguanaKing Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 On Station 4 (Station 8 in the original photo, before it was flipped), those are two Mk20 Rockeyes, the air inlets on the fronts of the bombs give them away. Flipping the photo didn't change that. ;)
