Hey guys.

I've had CH's propedals like forever. I believe mine were 10 years old or more (cant even remember anymore). I have never had other model and now I'm losing axis one after the other. Toe brakes no longer work.

So which ones should I get that are somewhat reliable and have good feel to them? (always found these propedals to be very clunky )

Im looking at Simware site, and the only real affordable pedals are all from SAITEK/MADcatz

3-pro flight Cessna

Opinions would be welcome! :)

After my CH pedals gave out I got the Saitek proflight combat pedals (#2 above). They are so much better than CH pedals I would never go back!

Your feet are placed further apart from one another. You push the pedals with the arch of your foot while a slight push with the ball of your foot works the toe breaks. Compared to CH, these pedals are far more comfortable and natural to use, I highly recommend them.

I still love my CH stick and throttle; together with the Saitek pedals they make a great system and you can really forget about the controls and just "fly", if you know what I mean.

Wow! You're right.

I just looked at Amazon and the few 3rd party sellers that will take your order are asking insane prices, and none of them have stock!

One company wants over $1000.00 for a set of Combat pedals that they hope to have in four to five weeks.

Even half that would be obscene for Saiteks. I don't think crosswinds even hit $350 American with the hefty shipping from Croatia and are head over heals above the Saiteks.

I bought crosswinds and have a set of pro flights (#1). Send me a pm if your interested.

These here are just being produced by VKB - T-Rudder Pedals MkIV:

TRudder_4_1.jpg

I have the predecessor, the MkIIIs, and I am quite happy with them, but will most likely get the IVs when they're available.

Going by the MkIII's pricing, they should be about $210 shipped.

More info here: http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2120

For those interested, here's a side-by-side comparison between the older MkIIIs and the new MkIVs:

T-Rudder MkIV improvements compared to the MkIII:

Xw_VbxePpLXdB8Kd9IZ5Ap1o97FgLiwaWmnUi-276wA?size=1600x1200&size_mode=3

1. More comfortable heel pads allowing different feet positions.

2. New size adjustment system and modified T-Rudder "feet" profiles, less prone to dust, with new rubber pads providing an improved grip.

3. Reinforced centering mechanism (4 mm thickness) with dual ball bearings for an improved robustness.

4. Reinforced pedals axes frame.

5. Improved pedals locking system preventing loosening or rotating the cylindrical part.

6. External access to the tension mechanism allowing to release the cam for easier disassembly.

7. Reinforced and visible spring force attach point (normal and high tension force).

Ya, looks like it's a single axis geared towards the idea of choppers and (most/all?) Russian aircraft where there is a break handle rather than pedals. Still pretty cool; looks heavy and well constructed.

4 plus years on the Combat Pro Pedals...they are best option for the $.

I have no negatives with them to convey.

No toe brakes though?

Correct, no toe brake; I assigned a button on my HOTAS for braking, and, a separate axis for selected aircraft as well. Works well.

You can't get any of them, Saitek is on a world wide backorder.

but from what I heard the Pro Combat are the best.

So, that would explain why Saitek Pro Flight rudder pedals are so expensive now.

(re: Message #1)

I still have my original CH setup of Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, and Pro Pedals purchased July 2010. Currently I have no complaints.

I had a buddy that when his CH gear wore out, he purchased a new identical replacement and sent his worn out one back for repair. Unless you just want to try something else, or CH Products no longer has a repair service, why not do this? My buddy had done this a few times over the years. Sorry, I forget the guys name and what game/sim were flying.

My original purchases were direct from CH Products in 2010.
