Middle east theatre.

Area in the picture would be my favorite battlefield because you have everything you could wish for.

- Carrier ops possible (Check !)

- Naval operations possible in maybe future DCS naval products (Check !)

- Land operations possible would actually make --Combined Arms-- interesting for me (Check !)

- Older to newer generation aircraft combat scenarios (Check !)

- Multiple countries + Cities in a small area Cairo, Jeruzalem, Beirut, Amman and Damascus (Check !)

- Plenty of strategic targets unlike Nevada and the Black sea region but this is my opinion ;) (Check !)

- Future product proof even though not confirmed for public release F-16, AH-64, F-4, MiG-23, MiG-25, Mirage, Su-17 etc etc (Check !)

Honestly, all I want is DCS: Alaska. I would love to fly fast and low over the Alaska cold mountains. Actually, DCS: Siberia would be awesome.

Mission: "To intercept and destroy aircraft and airborne missiles in all weather conditions in order to establish and maintain air superiority in a designated area. To deliver air-to-ground ordnance on time in any weather condition. And to provide tactical reconaissance imagery" - F-14 Tomcat Roll Call

"A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft."

Wishlist Terrains - Bigger maps

Wishlist Modules - A variety of utility aircraft to better reflect the support role. E.g. Flying the Hornet ... big yawn ... flying a Caribou on a beer run to Singapore? Count me in. Extracting a Recon Patrol from a hastily prepared landing strip at a random 6 figure grid reference? Now yer talking!

The Middle East map is a very good idea. Another one I would love to see is an accurate Vietnam era map. The Mig-21 v F-5 is a good combo and would fit well in there. Also some naval action would be available with upcoming modules. Then if they finally implemented napalm....

Plus 1 for the Vietnam map

DCS Beaufort Sea. Alaska, Northwestern Territories in Canada, Northern Russia all the way to Tiksi air base. Complete with better winter weather effects and tactical ski-doos and dog sleds added to CA. Would be a perfect settings for alot of DCS modules ( Canadian CF-18, Alaska F15s, Russian fighters etc)

Do the east asian conflict scenario - India; China; Pakistan; Vietnam, N Korea, S Korea, Japan and obviously USA would get involved!

Western Middle East - The Syrian conflict scenario would also be interesting.

I thought they'd already announced it would be the 206,000 km^2 covered by this land mass :

North against south? Or maybe add a slice of small island to the west and play for sheep stations. ;)

Would make perfectly sense to make Germany with some areas of Poland as a cold war scenario. Most of DCS fighters are in a state from the 70-90ies and this area would have been the main theatre...

+1

By the way, it's time to add East Germany as a red coalition :D

That would be great as it's also different from maps that are being developed.

As one of the thinks I would love to start/land from place like this.

BUT I would say no more maps for at least some time - what is needed is the content to fill them in: ground units, ground air defenses, air units (playable and AI), weapons, etc...

Just try to make a realistic, early 70's mission in mission editor to see how small the choice is.

F/A-18, F-16, F-14, M-2000C, A-10C, AV-8B, AJS-37 Viggen, F-5E-3, F-86F, MiG-21bis, MiG-15bis, L-39 Albatros, C-101 Aviojet, P-51D, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, Bf 109 4-K, UH-1H, Mi-8, Ka-50, NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf... and not enough time to fully enjoy it all
