1.5.4 Open beta will have al the updates listed in the first post, except flood lights, which will come in 1.5.4 release version.

Let's hope for the best. :D 3rd party changelogs are often omitted.

As I also posted in the Razbam M200C forum...

Often ED changelogs does not contain 3rd party module fixes, so let´s hope thats also the case this time, though som of the SA-342 changes re in the ED Changelog.

The MiG-21 changes are in 1.5.4 BETA. Our changelog is currently not included in the post.

Mig-21 is much more interesting to fly now. Nose feels more "alive" in maneuvers. Overall the plane feels like it has mass now. I like it. :)

So if I would want to test the new changes to the FM in the stable release version; I could copy the files in ...mods/aircraft/Mig-21bis/bin from my updated openbetadcs over to my stable dcs installment; or are there other files as well which I would have to copy?

Can't play in the openbeta, because, if I change one thing in the options menue the screen goes black and VR is enabled which makes moving sideways and forward/backwards with trackir impossible. Thanks in advance!

spin recovery is automatic as soon as stick returns to neutral as the plane is extremely eager to pick up speed each cycle. have doughnut spin test results seemed to suggest it would require more time and effort than this...

Not recommended.

 

Technically it works- sometimes. But in this case, it likely won't. Binaries are built on a specific version of the DCS World API/SDK. In this case, the change is fairly large between 1.5.3 & 1.5.4.

Some small isues:

 

The view slightly jumps at the touchdown and takeoff, just before the wheels touch the ground, and just after the plane takes off.

 

 

 

BTW, is it me or are the landings a bit tricky again, like they used to be?

 

 

The kneeboard shows only the map, other pages are empty.

^^ Noticed the little view jump too. This damn glitch has been in the Mi-8 for a while, now it starts affecting the MiG-21. Not all users experience it and nobody knows what causes it.
