DCS 1.5.4...New integrity check system*

Recommended Posts

Here's an interesting one.

With a triple screen setup and running a resolution of 5760*1080 the FOV is unacceptably narrow, resulting in the need to modify the view luas to widen it up. This triggers a failed integrity check, and makes perfect sense. I modified game files, I shouldn't be flying on a server that has the option enabled.

Based on what I'm seeing, to pass the IC in the future, only authorized mods will be allowed. Is there even an FOV mod out there that could possibly wind up on this white list?

Use the server.lua for that.

Copy it from your installations config/views to your saved games config views.

Then add the given planes into your saved games server.lua, if they dont exist in the file, from the given planes views.lua

Thats what Im doing, and I get no IC flags.

In a game were we have almost as many servers as actual people playing online are we really that concerned with cheating? Unless it is blatantly cheating, like using Aim-54's on an F15, I could care less. Lets encourage people to play online not make it a pain in the nether regions.

Yes we are. There are mods out there that give unrealistic capabilities to aircraft.

Failed Integrity Check?

I played all Sunday on the F5 vs Mig21 moose server no problem. All mods were disabled.

Today I can't play at all. All mods disabled. Failed file scripts/aircrafts_common/cockpit/kneeboard/declare_kneeboard_device.lua

I removed the file and I can join but the cockpit is gone. I put the file back and fail again.

I'm lost. Not a fan of integrity check. Finally multiplayer heats up with the F5 and I can't get in. So frustrating.

If you are policing the people who aren't cheating with false flags then you hurt the game more than the random knucklehead who probably would get banned from the servers anyway. All the money I have invested in this game and I can't play it?

Same exact thing happened to me, you wouldn't happen to have a jetseat would you?

I had to disable the jetseat, delete the kneeboard_device and do a repair to fix it.

ED? WHY?

The new IC is far... FAR from good.

I've deactivated all Mods through JSGME, repaired the Game wich for me means that I do have an completely stock Game and I still won't pass your damn IC.

The mentioned file is just not there!

See Screenshot below.

Hey Cow,

What is a jetseat? Is it the feedback cushion that uses simshaker? I have simshaker installed for my buttkicker. Also, I have a Geko Gseat. Maybe uninstall simshaker?

you have Mods/tech/ns installed in the game folder - these require to be signed.

Move the mod to Saved Games/DCS/Mods/tech and you'll be OK.

Worked. Thank you. :)

One last question:

Is it possible, that in the future the Starways Texture Mod will find a way into the IC so that I don't have to disable it everytime via JSGME?

Greetings

According to Starway it is just one file.

Considering the integrity check: The only file which somehow is causing the error is the "shadows.lua". You have to delete this file from the mod before activating it via JGSME.

Sure it is good to have such a System. But I wouldn't consider Cockpit/Ground Texture Mods as Cheats.

And guys with modded loadouts in MP should instantly uninstall DCS IMHO.

For fun and Testing purposes, sure, go ahead I do that too but JSGME helps a great deal here.

Yep, that's what I meant. The latest version has an IC safemode:

Thanks for the help, the update worked.

I have 0 mods installed and I'm failing the integrity check because of the dcs_manifest.x86_64 file in several modules, a10c, mirage, f15, f86, uh1h, p51 and su25. I have tried repairing my install, and deleting the files altogether. Nothing seems to work. After deleting the files, a repair doesn't even reacquire them, they just stay gone and the integrity check still fails.

It's generally correct but for some reason there are multiplayer servers that ignore the local server.lua views configuration. Interesting is the fact that this happens also in case of some stock training missions.

In such case modifying the view settings in the views.lua of the module is the only thing left. This change however is reported as breaching the client integrity.

It would be good if this issue is looked into. Actually honoring the server.lua or giving a client any other possibility to define his view settings would be a preferred way.

It helps even with simple configurations like the min/max/default FOV, head position in cockpit, setting up the FOV so that the middle detent of TM slider equals the default view.
