Hi I have download the B-17 mod How I can make a mission with B-17 bomb an air base ? It is empity...:thumbup:

Check the Loadouts in the lua file, the aircraft is only allocated Runway Attack and Ground Attack in the version I have loaded, if you set it to something else the game will not show any weapons to load.

 

Is that the problem ?

I just found this mod, added it to "mods/aircraft", after creating a new folder for the B-17. What should that folder be called? In loading the 190D mission, I get a pop up telling me I need the B17G modules. Where do I find them, if not in the zip file in "aircraft"?

You need to create a new loadout. Two choices are available 500lb or 1000lb bombs

I think I figured it out. But, I haven't been able to find the B-17's yet. I need to learn more about nav and maps.

I have the mod working. I can open it, take off, turn to the right heading. At that point, I hit F10, to look at the map, but get no response. I'm new, so I'm sure I have done something wrong, but can't figure out what.

I have the kneeboard maps working, and flew the mission to where the bombers were supposed to be, but didn't find any bombers.

Basically need to ensure that a bomb loadout is selected, plot a straight and level flight path for at least 2 waypoints with the target in between the two. On the first waypoint add an advanced waypoint action for bombing, override the auto settings to bombs and ALL (or how ever much bombs you want dropped in this attack) and position the target triangle on the point you want to hit. See linked post for discussion about the required distance between target and first waypoint to make it work.

Yes....not working here either,I'm running the latest Version 1.5.5.60565,big pity as this is a great Mod :cry: not too concerned about the loadout either,just great to have the aircraft as Ai........of course a loadout would be the creme.

 

BTW Great skins Eddie....superb matey.

You do not have to fly it,

 

Select as ai.

 

I have not tried these mods as ai yet so it would be interesting to find out how it works.
