TomE Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 I noticed on the kneeboard you can change the lase code. However there is no feedback as to what you are changing or if it is even working. Can we get some sort of feedback like a message in the upper right like we do from missions as to what the code is changing to? CTLD picks a code for us and I'd like to switch to that code before I take off or get on station. Great plane keep up the good work BST can't wait to see whats next from you guys! I'm a Bum I'll fly with anyone!

Stuka Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Are you using the correct keys to change the LASER code? When I change it, it is shown on the kneeboard. Windows 11 | i9 12900KF | 64GB DDR4 | RTX 3090 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals | TM MFDs + Lilliput 8" | TIR5 Pro
RAZBAM_ELMO Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I'm correct in guessing that this can only be done engines off and gbus loaded? Stuka Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Yup, engines have to be off. Tried earlier today if the changed code is actually being used; and I can confirm it is. Windows 11 | i9 12900KF | 64GB DDR4 | RTX 3090 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals | TM MFDs + Lilliput 8" | TIR5 Pro

mia389 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) My kneeboard does not show the laser code? Cold start in mp. Also tried in single player. Edited August 3, 2016 by mia389
Sport Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I can't seem to get any of these to change either. I checked to make sure the keymapper matched, and it I can't get the Flare/Chaff numbers to budge at all Come check me out on YouTube! Twitch! Dino Might Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Set the lase code to the code being used by JTAC (1112) from the one I dropped via CTLD. I made sure to rearm after inputting the lase code and got nada for guidance. Kneeboard kept 1112 as the code after rearm, and none of the 4 bombs I dropped picked up the laser.
Chrinik Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Can´t get it to work as well, even with a cold aircraft. What am I doing wrong? Dino Might Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 When you say you can't get it to work, is it simply that you can't get the kneeboard code to change? Cold aircraft, GBUs loaded, use the key-bindings that are listed on the kneeboard; however, DO NOT use the numpad. You have to use the numbers are the top of the qwerty layout. Now, for those who have input a new lase code, have you gotten it to actually work in dropping and guiding the bomb?
Chrinik Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Correct, I cannot use the Kneeboard to change anything. Even rebinding the controls to something else didn´t help. It doesn´t matter wether it´s lasercode, rocket ripple or Countermeassure programs, nothing responds. I do not have a qwertyu layout, if that is causing issues. I have a standard laptop-sized qwerty keyboard and I can't get the numbers to change on the kneeboard at all. Kind of frustrating since I'd like to adjust my flare dispensing. I wonder if I can perma change it in the .lua file? Come check me out on YouTube! Twitch! Have a listen to the Alert 5 Podcast - YOUR source for the latest combat flight simulation news!
Dino Might Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Odd. The right shift + right alt + number 9,0, or - do the lase code changes just fine for me with the default keybindings. Did you adjust any keyboard commands for other stuff? But despite changing the code, I can't get the GBUs to actually work.
Svend_Dellepude Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Same setings are now available in ME in Open Alpha at least. dunno about OB. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.

Hook47 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 yea i can change the lase code in ME. but has anyone actually gotten the GBU guidance to work? It guides beautifull on 1688, per my MP mission I hosted with friends a few days ago. I'll test ASAP to see if other codes work

EDIT: ah did you have a real person lase it for you? i've been trying to set it up with a simple AI ground unit. but can't find an option to input the actual laser code Edited August 24, 2016 by dresoccer4 Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules
TwoLate Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Yes I am trying to get AI to lase. I can talk and do the 9 line but it does not guide. I have AI set to lase. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
