f4l0 Posted May 14, 2018 Author Posted May 14, 2018 I just published a new stable version of SSA. This version does not ship the SoundModule. If you use the SoundModule, you need a separate installation: http://dsteam.azurewebsites.net/downloads/SimShaker%20Sound%20Module%20setup.exe Cheers f4l0 Developer of Simshaker for Aviators Feel the brrrrttt: [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io)

gianlu320 Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Hello f4I0 I have a question for you. Have you by any chance tried the MB339 mod? The MB339 adds some lines of code to the export.lua but also retains the jetseat lines inside the export.lua, anyway the jetseat with this modified export.lua for some reason doesn't work. May be you are not supporting mods, fair enough if this is the case. I just tought I would ask.

Beazle Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Will the f/a-18c be supported as soon as its in early acess?
Gunnergolly Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Just installed SimShaker for Aviators from here :- https://dreamsimteam.blogspot.co.uk/p/downloads.html When i double click the SSA icon a "Launching application.... varifying application requirements" window pops up briefly for a second and then nothing else happens ???. Usually i get a window saying something like ..... "i'm here for you have a good flight" pop up. SimShaker was working perfectly with the earlier version..... an ideas ?. Thanks. f4l0 Posted May 14, 2018 Author Posted May 14, 2018 Will the f/a-18c be supported as soon as its in early acess? Depends on the actual release date. If I've time, I'll add it ASAP, if not, we have to wait for a weekend... Snacko Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 My pc just installed a new SS for Aviators update and popped up a message saying the Sound Module was a separate install now? I don't have a Jet Seat. I only have my own amps and shakers. So, do I need to uninstall SSA now? And only install the Sound Module? Sorry, I'm a bit confused.. I don't have a Jet Seat. I only have my own amps and shakers. So, do I need to uninstall SSA now? And only install the Sound Module? Sorry, I'm a bit confused.. No... SSA reads data from DCS and sends the calculated effects to a receiver like the SoundModule. Andre and I agreed that it is better to provide two separate installations to highlight the fact that Andre's SoundModule is payware and my SSA is freeware. Otherwise some people thought that I get money from SoundModule or JetSeat purchases... Just keep SSA and install the SoundModule. SSA should start the installed SoundModule automatically... harf4ng Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 And what about the beta version? I never checked about the sound module as I have a gametrix. sze5003 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Hmm I have not run the release version of sim shaker in a while. I've been using the beta which received an update tonight. It's a bit complicated to find the place where Windows puts these ClickOnce apps... It's usually something like: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\somename\somename\sims..tion_somehash use the date modified field in the explorer to find the correct entry... Gunnergolly Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 I gave up yesterday as I tried disabling Windows Defender and also couldn't see anything happening within the Windows event log. I'm in the process of doing a new build and since I only had Windows 10 and DCS installed I just wiped the whole lot and reinstalled Windows.... a bit drastic but it's only a 10 minute job reinstalling windows. I then reinstalled Simshaker, it worked three times from the desktop and then just stopped working again ?. I found the install path below for SimShaker:- C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\O83EO8OP.0RA\9LNZG9X7.KXZ\sims..tion_8d02fb54339bfb80_0001.0001_8cd30b4b2adffb9b I ran it from there and a big blue "Windows defender" screen popped up saying :- "Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognised app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk". So I just pressed the "Run anyway" button and then a "Windows Defender fire wall" window appeared blocking the above path again. Once again I just allowed permission for the app to run and Simshaker is now working again from the desktop. Hope the above helps.
