I'm having an issue in that SimShaker for Aviators doesn't seem to recognize DCS in-game, even though it detects DCS and the export.lua appears to be coded properly.

And a screenshot showing that I am clearly in the Huey in DCS, but the Debug view is blank and the Current Aircraft shows as None on the Effects Settings tab.

The Massage and Test Vibe-Motors functions both work fine, so the issue isn't the jetseat itself. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling SimShaker and I get the same results. I run Windows 7 with Net Framework 4.5 installed. Please let me know if I should provide any more information.

FWIW, I also backed up and deleted my export.lua and forced SimShaker to build a new one as one of my first troubleshooting steps. Apologies for not mentioning that earlier.

Here's an interesting datapoint for you:

When I disabled the VAICOM line, SimShaker still didn't work and the debug window remained blank. However, once I exited the Huey Instant Action mission (Target Range) the Effect Settings tab showed the UH1 as the current aircraft, and I got the following in the Debug View:

Can someone share their ssa and/or sound module settings here. I have the jetseat and 2 pucks running. I have everything set at 100% but would like to know and try what others use. Also if anyone is using the custom files, how did you arrive at them?

Hi guys

I have Simshaker, VAICOM as well as Helios and Tacview running. In one of the threads I read that the order in which the entries appear in the export script seems to matter to get all of these to play nicely together. In my export script the Helios entry appears first, then Tacview

 

And after that (not sure if this is important, but it works for me):

 

I have the dofile for

 

Simshaker Export Core

 

Then

 

the dofile for Vaicom

 

AND THEN, LAST

 

The dofile for Simshaker.lua

 

I really do not know whether this is a factor or why it might be, but my setup runs stable and reliably with only the occasional loss of Simshaker connection when restarting a mission or Alt-Tabbing out and into DCS.

 

How this helps to pin down the issue.

Hey guys just to chime in

There's some references to VAICOM version 2.5.3: please make sure to test only with latest version 2.5.5.

This was tested to work in combination with SSA/SoundModule, TacView, and SimpleRadio, (not Helios),

in any order in export.lua. Of course if there's a snag feel free to PM, happy to have a look.

Jumping over from the other thread. Got my jetseat installed, works in the Gametrix program, all motors function.

Not that I'm aware of. AFAIK DCS still does not export the RPM values :-( There's a thread in the wishlist part of the F18 sub forum...

Yeah, it's very strange. My two new posts were deleted for breaking forum rule 1.4 :huh:

(First post was just "+1" and the other was simply asking why everything had been deleted - very politely I might add.)

 

Initially I thought everthing was deleted by mistake since it is a perfectly normal thread but obliviously not :confused:
