When I start Sim Shaker Sound module it tells me 'Good new. This application is up to date' (Version 2.36), but when I try to test the module and hit play I get 'Some object are not initinialized properly. Application may not work'. Any idea why?

Something seriously went wrong. The application could not play a sound file. May I see the full logbox content?

😌 When I went to pull the logbox, I realized that whenever it was last updated a sound card was not chosen. I selected one, that fixed it right up. Easy fix, I just didn't notice a source wasn't selected.

In this case Sound Module should try to use the default sound output assigned on the PC. Maybe it didn't work out on your PC for some reason.
Thank you for the update!

First thing is to check your export.lua and ssa logs. If you share these files, I can have a look...

its now magically working

Just tried it again and now it works. MAGIC indeed!  Thanks everyone for the assistance

Hi with latest beta sim shaker for aviators I no longer get speedbrake shudders effect when extending speedbrakes plus every aircraft I fly in DCS is detected as an Su27.

going to revert to latest stable and see if it solves the issue.

After installing and using stable none of these issues are present. I'm currently flying the F16 but there have been numerous other modules i've used with the same issue.

don’t know what that was about but it’s now working

did you modify your export/simshaker.lua, e.g. by using Andres Mod Tool?

Nevermind. Managed to bring it back to life.
There was an issue with interfering files from the Volanta APP as I have mentioned a few threads up. I deleted the app and configured the .lua accordingly. But man! It took some time to find out. Happy it works now.
BTW @f4l0: did u receive my PM?

hi guys, can you tell me the right way to proceed? I am using the stable version of SSA. Now, of course, I want the F4 to work as well.
when i install the beta, what order do i have to follow? Do I have to uninstall anything? Can I then also use the stable - in addition to the beta?

thanks !

I have both downloaded and installed stable and beta. As long as you only use one at a time you can have them both installed and alternate between the two. If you install the latest beta version I believe it has support for the new F-4e and you don’t need to install any additional files.

The Sound module has been locking up on me in different aircraft the past few weeks.  Today I was flying the apache, and saw these missing files.  But other aircraft did not have missing files.

It seems I'm missing files for the Apache?  I everything under the 'base' folder and these are not there...

Where is the file I can edit to add a new/custom mod to the list? I did it for the UH-60, but for the LIFE of me I can’t remember the location of the file.

I know how to edit fine.

Just got the Kiowa 🙂 Probably just duplicate the Huey settings.

If you mean the sound files to shake.  They are in your Documents folder under Simshaker/base

Before and after today's patch I have the following problem. The audio output in sound module is correct and test works fine with all samples. In the SSA configuration is also correct and logging shows activity (check screen). But no shaking or sound to the bass shakers, any ideas?

I have repaired both SSA and sound module.

Have you checked your Export.lua file?   If it works but not in DCS then that might be the problem.

This effect (rotor whirl combined with G-force) is not implemented in Sound Module. Please excuse me.

What do you mean by that? No shaking happens from DCS only via testing through sound module.

Tagging on to the Kiowa question, how would the OH-58D be referred to in the simshaker.lua file? I’m trying to make simshaker is the Mi-8 settings for the Kiowa like some did for the UH-60 mod:

Search for:

elseif obj.Name == "UH-1H" then

and modify it to:

elseif obj.Name == "UH-60L" then
dataTable.name = "Mi-8MT"
dataTable.rpm = string. format ("8.2f", get_param_ handle ("RRPM"): get () * 2 / 3)
elseif obj.Name == "UH-1H" then

should that work?

elseif obj.Name == "UH-60L" then
dataTable.name = "Mi-8MT"
dataTable.rpm = string. format ("8.2f", get_param_ handle ("RRPM"): get () * 2 / 3)
elseif obj.Name == "UH-1H" then

should that work?

The "DCS name" for the Kiowa is indeed "OH-58D" so maybe you could substitute the "UH-60L" for  "OH-58D" and that would work?
