Don't agree on this. If you like a10 you will fly whichever side has it and do your best.

It is more rewarding if you win with the weaker side sometimes :)

I maintain math isn't going to tell you everything because you aren't going to be able to put into numbers "what people do", because the unknown can't be measured. Clearly the statistics narrowed your vision to only the performance of an aircraft, and not employment of it.

 

If you really want to know how fast I can start a Huey, I can get this number for you. I'll do it the next time I play.

 

Here's the major take-away that bothers me most. I honestly don't want to play the air quake game. I'm looking to be the backbone handling all the support options, but Blue Flag has really gone down the toilet when it comes to support options. It used to be important rescuing people to get their lives back, it used to be important making fuel runs so CAP/CAS could takeoff, and Redfor had around 4 transport options back then. Now that those roles don't exist or don't matter due to AI refueling aircraft, it only leaves deployment of assets in which we've been gimped two aircraft. It's like I'm playing by myself out there.

 

P.S. I don't think Bluefor should be gimped. They should get the option to fly all the Gazelle's, and Huey. That's what makes it fun. The fun factor on Redfor just needs to be amp'd up a bit.

 

 

The irony of this statement. Different weak, and strong points is something called asymmetrical balance. If you didn't have this, then most certainly no one would be on the lesser team.

Its very much possible to put everything in mathematical terms. I would not use numbers though. Numbers would be indeed a PITA to formulate such things in but it can be done.

For once the triggering and secondly maybee even more interesting is the picture where they actually measured a positron but thought they didn't.

 

Employment of aircraft can be described by statistics. Pk is such a thing and often misunderstood.

I dunno how often that chart made its appearance. The BVR advantage/disadvantage of aircrafts over the flanker. But I agree that its not easy nor trivial nor matches the calibre of such statistics the calibre of the problem we are facing. :D But its possible.

 

 

I see the problem you are having with the disappearing of backbone tasks such as refueling and CSAR. I did a lot of refuel runs before but atm its simply not adding anything. And I also get that 2 slots is not exactly ideal. I do not think though 4 MI8 slots would be Ideal either. Gazelle L variant on red side would be noice I guess. The russian cammo looks so russian its extremely hard to misidentify as bluefor. :D

I need to actually time it but I'd be surprised if it took much more than 60 seconds for me to get a Huey up and running. I mean with everything. If I skip the radios and other nonessential stuff I can get up faster.

MiG-29A was updated with 1.5.5 and is now more complete and accurate than the S.

Its flight model was changed. It flies much better now, but is still SFM. Just updated SFM.

 

They added 3 new liveries, wingflex, etc.

 

Most importantly, the A has a good damage model now. I tested by spawning an F-15 behind me, and each time a missile hit was critical damage (wings, tail, taken completely off by one hit every time)

 

Testing the same thing with the S did not show good results. S was able to take 2 or 3 missiles and still fly. Its damage model is so out dated that the wings would be gone but the missiles remain.

 

 

Hopefully more MiG-29A's will be added to next round, seeing as they are more complete, beautiful, and one of everyone's biggest complains was that they were impossible to kill is fixed.

Probably about 45 seconds, and that is waiting for the throttle to spool up to 6500 rpm.

Yes, and we've done that before because we love it so much, but its a really far flight.

 

But I'll be honest, now that Flanker is fixed, I'll be flying that a lot more.

The only thing which makes me consider the problem not as severe is that practically 8 people running around doing oneshot deployments is practically never happening. If they did I would agree that red should at least get 6 mi8.

 

But with the situation atm I would say 3 max 4 are fine. I think practically you can also reduce slots per gazelle type to 1 and stick with 3. But I dunno one would really have to do some statistics to see how slots are utilized and whats connected to them beeing utilized.

 

Yeah the gunners are indeed magic, as is the "we do not care about EGT"-functionality.

 

I understand you take numbers into account very seriously, but since BLUEFOR have the lowest average distance between native airfields, forward OPS should at least come in even numbers, by that I mean give both teams equal numbers at FARPS. no handicap.

To avoid confusion: you watch your track in DCS (cross fingers that it is not broken, although it probably is), then Tacview will record everything from the track and you'll have a good .acmi

 

THAT's what I mean!!! OTHER views are not unlocked in track file when playing on a MP server without F2 views!!!

You can do that in the replay, just open le track in ME, enfore f10 views all, problem solved.

So server running stable 1.5 now because of network code issues and activations problems? (Or is it just me because I upgraded motherboard and CPU to i5 6600k and OP BF is still running Open Beta???) (Already opened 2 support tickets)

BF is running 1.5.4.

 

1.5.5 is incompatible with 1.5.4 on a networking level. Dunno how often I said that already :D

We maybe talked about that already but would it be possible to have temporary respawn for fighter when we captured field?

 

For exemple being able to respawn at mykop or krasno if that field has been captured and at least few fighter have landed there to activate respawn.

Yee in the state it is atm it imho should have 4. Its too stronk for 8.

 

If it didnt have cargo and troops I would say more is fine but with all the things in one frame, 4 seems legit to me.

Just personal request, please bring back KA-50 ability to gathering Intel or something. It could attract another red player to buy the module like I did with the Gazelle lol.

There seem to be a problem on the server. I cant join RED slots. I get no system messages either. Tried everything.
