Nealius Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 I first noticed this issue in the campaign. I have the electrical system and APU running, contact ATC for startup. ATC responds with wind speed/direction and clearance for startup. After startup I request takeoff clearance, and get no response. Between being cleared for startup and requesting takeoff clearance I did nothing to the radios, so I don't understand why they would suddenly stop working.
Rangi Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Are you sure your using the ptt (push to talk switch), check control set up. PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
Nealius Posted November 27, 2016 Author Posted November 27, 2016 Using the trigger. It works fine when requesting startup, but not when requesting taxi/takeoff/hover. There should be no reason for the controls to be different between the two requests.
Whisper Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 ICS switch on "Radio" ? Actually, just make sure the title of the Radio Menu appearing when pushing the trigger is "R-863" Whisper of old OFP & C6 forums, now Kalbuth. Nealius Posted November 28, 2016 Author Posted November 28, 2016 ICS switch is "Radio" and "R-863" is displayed. Is everyone ignoring the fact that I am able to contact tower for startup just fine? I've mentioned it twice already...I'm going to need to upload a video for this one.

Nealius Posted December 3, 2016 Author Posted December 3, 2016 I found the issue. The co-pilot MIC switch overrides all radios and goes to Interphone.
Tarres Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Yes, the co-pilot MIC switch overrides all radios, but , I think that it only must override the co-pilot SPU-7, but for now both SPU-7 selectors are sync.
randomTOTEN Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 (edited) I just tried the troubleshoot the copilot MIC switch, and I cannot get the PTT to get out of INTERPHONE as well. As a result of this, I too cannot contact ATC after engines are started. This was in Open Conflict Multiplayer on version 1.5.6.4546.280 Both overhead switches in RADIO, with working ATC communication from a cold start up until after the 2nd engine was started. Veritech Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Same issue here. Cannot use the radio at all. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "Alis Aquilae Aut Pax Aut Bellum" Veritech's DCS YouTube Channel
noisy_lightning Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Might explain why I could not re-arm the other night too.
