uscstaylor Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Hey Folks I just noticed that the AI F-16 has a Canopy Texture Problem..Its not see through. Ill post a pick of it ..Does anyone else have this issue. Its my 1.5.4 or 1.5.5. If there's a fix and someone knows please share.

uscstaylor Posted December 6, 2016 Author Posted December 6, 2016 Thanks but that link don't give an answer. This is AI aircraft, My modded F-16 works no problem...There should be a fix..If any admins can explain or give an answer I would be grateful. Otherwise ED needs to address this problem.

uscstaylor Posted December 6, 2016 Author Posted December 6, 2016 I was and it still did the same thing. That's why I reverted back there were to many problems with textures to the skins. Ed still has a responsibility though to address any issues or at least offer a fix. I'm not the only customer or has a different install, but thanks for the input.

Hi guys please post your exact version number and the description.lua livery file of your skin what cause that canopy texture problem. One more: check ALL of your "installed" user file F-16A/MLU/Block50/Block52 description.lua files. If you see this line then it's the guilty: {"texture F-16.tga f2 g0",0,"f-16-glass.bmp",true} !!! "true" if the texture used from a zip file of from a pre-definied folder/user-zip or from the bazar/temptextures folder "false" if the texture is located in the folder where the associated description.lua file placed f-16-glass.bmp.dss !!! is corrupt. It can cause wrong canopy texture look on factory skins too !!! (if you used the corrupt livery earlier - with the corrupt canopy-glass texture) check texture file in the bazar/temptextures folder as well https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=168074

I have the modded F-16 in my game and all of the skins for the modded F-16 A and the F-16C version work perfect. My issue is with the AI F-16A and the F-16C blk 52 that the game has installed. The Canopy you can see from the pictures is effecting all of them. uscstaylor Posted December 6, 2016 Author Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) OK Here's the fix for the AI F-16 Canopy problem First download and install the file in your: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\TempTextures folder Second go to each of your skin folders that have skin textures in them and open your description lau and place this text in there {"texture F-16.tga f2 g0",0,"f-16.tga",true}; Then save. If you have some other skins for the F-16 that are still having a problem then also add this f-16.tga file to your: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\World\textures WorldTexturesTGA zipped file as well. I didn't put the different country codes for the skins I just used USA for country when selecting country code. You can change it as needed if you want to. Plane on screens is basic model from game, so uscstaylor, you are working on both versions, modded and basic one right? Wow, you can get really dizzy :).

Many thanks sir Sierra I cant get it to work, I would be very happy if I could use the Aggressor skins in 2.0. The tailnumbers get written twice somehow. Does anybody else have this problem and any fix for it? Or could uscstaylor do a version with this fixed because I like them very much..Please :)

If the planes skins have a number painted on them, you can open up that mission in mission editor and remove the second plane number from the mission, then re save the mission. please post a pic thanks Edited January 17, 2017 by uscstaylor
Fisherman82 Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 No need for a screenshot because your answer solved it for me :) I was trying to figure it out in the description.lua and many other places so I never thought of deleting the tailnumber in the mission. I was under the impression that a aircraft had to have a tailnumber. But when I deleted it it turned out right, Thanks!
