Merlin555 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 well.. the nose seems much better for me. I wouldnt know what to change. maybe only to round a little little bit the very top of the nose, but its really a detail.. Exaust seem ok to me now.. Air intake still not working as much as they should though.. and the centerline fuel tank is still too backward. otherwise, I love it. some screenshots to thank you:

Vekkinho Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Walmis! Gee man, I just came from work, installed your Eagle and I'll call sick tomorrow...:megalol: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
GGTharos Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Heh, if you can do tail number, can you do canopy rail pilot name too? :D Or ... maybe we can ask ED for it? :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
walmis Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 Heh, if you can do tail number, can you do canopy rail pilot name too? :D Or ... maybe we can ask ED for it? :D yes i can, but you will have to edit f-15.skins file manually to include your file :) and nobody will see it except you ;) Btw, update released with centerline fueltank position fixed. Read instruction carefully.
Merlin555 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 oh yes..I forgot that.. no tail number as well..
Deadman Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 yes i can, but you will have to edit f-15.skins file manually to include your file :) and nobody will see it except you ;) Btw, update released with centerline fueltank position fixed. Read instruction carefully. Hi So how many different skin files can be added? Have you flipped the left aileron skin yet? Great work https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
SuperKungFu Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 hmm, how does the updater work exactly? Maybe there was something wrong with my install, after i downloaded the F-15 pack, i extracted it and copied the bazar, f-15 installer, and updater into my root folder since i didn't need the FUI. I double click the installer. Then i downloaded the other updater you posted and copied the two files (the updater and the manifest file) into the root folder and pressed update. and it just said all files up to date but the model is still the first release. walmis Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 something's up with the server. Cant connect, and obviously there's a bug with the updater, since it doesnt show that :)
SuperKungFu Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 oh ok, just keep us updated on the situation. Very cool idea btw, using an updater- very professional. In the meantime, do you think you would want to host the updated model as a new link or do you plan to do this in the future once the model pass its "beta" phase. Thay way, when we decide to reinstall in the future, we don't have to go through all the updates and such. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Merlin555 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 3 more unfixed bug to signal.. steering wheel still inverted and refuelling door not working. and still air intake geometry a little too small. but gosh, I LOVE this new EAGLE ! Thank a lot Walmis !
Cosmonaut Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Awesome!! :) Just took the new updated Eagle out for a test drive.. absolutely stunning. Great job Walmis. Cozmo. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Minimum effort, maximum satisfaction. CDDS Tutorial Version 3. | Main Screen Mods.
SuperKungFu Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Also for the next fix- could you fix the canopy color? I know turning off no scratch mod will make it turn blue but is there a way to make it compatible for it since the no scratch mod is pretty important since it saves quite a few fps. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
walmis Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 could you point me where to get that mod?
SuperKungFu Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 i believe its on lock on files, here Also, back to the nose (sorry if this sounds picky) but the top part of the nose needs a little curve, especially near the canopy and near the end of the tip. Try to follow the layout here's a little comparison old new [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
walmis Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 btw, did you know that you can turn off scratches from options menu?
SuperKungFu Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 i don't believe there's an option like that, what i meant when i said turn it off was uninstall it in modman. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
some1 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 you can turn off scratches from options menu Yes, but you loose also all reflections seen from inside too. Anyway, LOCFG has option to deactivate those scratches (graphics->optimizations->textures/canopy). Maybe this will work flawlessly (never tried it). walmis Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 k, then ill try something. EDIT: Nope, that mod just porks shaders up, and i cant do anything about it.
Force_Feedback Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Finally got the time to try it, and WOW, I'm in love, nice work! Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
