Kuky Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 well if his HDD did not get corrupted all his files should still be on there and he should be able to retrieve them PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Kuky Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 hm.. "fried" usually means failure due to overheating or static discharge. I don't think it's hi HDD, more like CPU of VGU, maybe memory too. PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
7rooper Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 How "fried" means "fried"? cause it was only a burnout problem there should be a possible way to recover those files!! I'm afraid we're gonna have to wait even longer! oh god! Deadman Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Due to real life I am no loner working on this if Lo-fi gets ahold of me and I have time. I may be able to help out some how .I Just hope that Lo-fi finds time to finish the model some how . https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Mustang Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 *BUMP* any updates? been quietly looking forward to this mod, i really hope its still progressing!
SuperKungFu Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 it appears it has been put "on hold" since lo-fi's comp seems to be having some problems and deadman is a little busy. We just have to be patient for these new models. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kuky Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 ah, it's alright. If it can be done it'll be done... in time PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Flаnker Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 SuperKungFu,What news about model of the plane А-10??? Мои авиафото
SuperKungFu Posted April 5, 2007 Author Posted April 5, 2007 sorry i don't oversee the project, i just gave them a starting point. Lofi, along with Dice, and Deadman seems to be the ones working with it. But i haven't heard from lofi in a while. And as the above posts states, lofi's computer had troubles? and deadman is also busy. So the best thing we can do is probably wait until one of those boys gets back to us. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Dice Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 sorry i don't oversee the project, i just gave them a starting point. Lofi, along with Dice, and Deadman seems to be the ones working with it. But i haven't heard from lofi in a while. And as the above posts states, lofi's computer had troubles? and deadman is also busy. So the best thing we can do is probably wait until one of those boys gets back to us. I'm sorry to say I was only a technical advisor so had nothing to do with the 3D model itself. I haven't heard anything from Lofi or Deadman in a while so I'm guessing the project is dead. Ugly but well hung!
7rooper Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 It's a shame.. all right is there anybody else who can continue with this project? We do need a new A-10 model. My rig specs: Intel Core i7 4770 @3.4Ghz // Corsair 16GB DDR3 // MoBo Asus Z87K // HDD 1TB 7200RPM // eVGA Nvidia GTX 760GT 2GB DDR5 // LG 3D 47" 1920x1080 // Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS // Saitek Combat Pro Pedals // Thrustmaster MFD Cougar pack // PS3 Eye + FTNOIR

Deadman Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Well If you want it to go on Contact Lo-fi ask for the model that he spent a huge amount of time on and finish it,or get the original from SuperKungFu. I have asked Lo-fi Twice for the model so i could try to finish it but I have not received any thing from him and won't bother him again.I guess he is just busy with life i am moving on to other projects sorry I can't do any thing for you. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
SuperKungFu Posted May 7, 2007 Author Posted May 7, 2007 yea i got the original, its located in the first post of this thread, but its pretty much pointless to start from that after all the work strikemax, lo-fi, deadman...etc did to reduce the poly count and put animations...etc. Personally i would want to see this project moving again because we know ED might be working on new models of russian aircraft that could appear in BS, but there are still no signs of western planes. That's why i started this project and want to revive walmis F-15 model, sadly both are not going far. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

7rooper Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 believe me I'm considering to take care of this.... My rig specs: Intel Core i7 4770 @3.4Ghz // Corsair 16GB DDR3 // MoBo Asus Z87K // HDD 1TB 7200RPM // eVGA Nvidia GTX 760GT 2GB DDR5 // LG 3D 47" 1920x1080 // Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS // Saitek Combat Pro Pedals // Thrustmaster MFD Cougar pack // PS3 Eye + FTNOIR
SuperKungFu Posted May 7, 2007 Author Posted May 7, 2007 is anyone planning on getting in contact with lo-fi or should i? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
