Yeah really and in high res, watch the wings manual angle regulator in the left side panel by the flaps buttons, can be moved from 16° to 72° back.

That is my goal now,the Pak Fa will remain nothing but a project due to the lack of information, lets face it its going to take years,but the Mig-23 that is a different story.

 

 

I will continue on the Pak Fa but the MIg-23 is my main Goal now.

Finally figured out how to make a correct size ICON for the menu so i Went and added a new Icon for the Mig 23,tell me what you guys think so far of the Icon,i used PaintNet program for i dont have PSP.

The Mig-23 98 has a upgraded hud due to the fact of the new saphir radar along with new avionics and self defence suite, but the cockpit it self remains the same.

Good luck again. I know you've done a lot from scratch on your own and I don't have high expectations, but even a half decent FC type Mig23 would be very popular and fit in the present DCS World very well. There was a "flyable" Mig 23 before and it was pretty garbage, but based on your Pak work I think you might pull something off here and wish you well.

"ALL MY WORK IS FREE" "Projects" Unless i join a third partie group or become one my self in the coming years.

 

 

All my Projects both the Pak Fa and the coming Mig-23-98 are freeware,no need to buy anything but Flaming cliff 3 and download dcs world.

 

 

why russian planes? why not :D , little bit on my background, back when i was 14 years old my dad was in a base in cuba and he was in charge of the anti aircraft sistems,sams and tripple aaa,to make the story short he gave me a tour of the base and hes best friend was a Mig-15 pilot at that time,hes friend showed me the mig and i sat on it , i was only 14 years old but that's a memory i have never forgotten.

 

I love the russian planes because they are tough and some of them are so ugly that its beatiful in its own way so to speak.

 

Dont get me wrong i do like western planes too,my Fav is the F-16 Falcon,but i think DCS WORLD is lacking in a russian gen 3rd jet at the momment,and with the upcoming f-14 and harrier and even mirage 3 ,a mig-23 would be amazing even in private servers with its own cockpit and realistic dials and gauges .

Little Roadmap as to how i will build this project.

 

You will need Flaming cliff 3 as usual.

 

"AVIONICS"

Mig-29 Avionics (the mig-23 does not have a MFD to display radar therefor the mig-29 avionics are perfect for the Job, radar displays on the Hud of the mig -23,i will alter the radar range based on the saphir radar range,(detection range) .

 

"FLIGHT MODEL"

 

I will make a SFM from scratch using autodesk flow design and other tools

to find the drag and FM of the 3d model of the Mig-23,with plenty of data in hand is safe to say real numbers can be added into the equations.

 

 

 

"COCKPIT"

 

fc3 style animated .

 

Then Clickable,Finally something that has gauges and dials,the pak fa lacked all this,due to the MFD tech.

 

"WEAPONS"

 

Air to air Guided and air to ground free fall bombs and Rockets

Including R-27 and R-77 due to the advanced Saphir radar on the mig-23-98.

 

 

"NOTE"

Remember guys i have to do it this way for i dont have SDK and cant make it any diferent,so lets us first create the mig-23 and its clickable cockpit and go from there,i will do my best to make this come true, at least we have data something i never had with the Pak Fa.

MIg-23 Renders.

 

Here are some renders of the Mig, this is not finished, the model i bough for the job is ok but it still needs a lot of work, i will have to add more detail to both externally and internally optimize it for dcs world.

Also you guys will be able to control the Sweep Wings,3 stages,i will model it in 3dx max, because in game code for players does not have that option.

As flanker1 pointed out, you are by no means the first to try this, even in mod form, and ED has shut every single attempt down. Have you spoken with ED prior to going forward with this?

Yes i will include the R-24 Missiles as well, i will create a LUA entry modfile for it to work.

 

"Note"

Because the ingame R-24 does not fire with out you making them into a mod it self.

 

 

 

 

As for the Hud,it remains the same as the original mig-23,it still displays the radar in its hud for it lacks a MFD.
