I did a new profile, so You can test it.

Just remember what mods you install for future updates, you dont know how this will effect your sim when its updated.

For update no any problems I suppose (it's easy to uninstall also, the profile could be updated if the lighting in the sim will change like cockpit illumination option) but for future DLC campaignes as You know very well - yes, it will affect it ;>.

Of course, for experienced modders of the games, they might not have any trouble, but new people that install this stuff then have issues, it can be a headache, its good to post a warning for them.

I can't get this to work. I've shown it the 'Run' application but when I try F2 in game nothing happens. Am I missing something?

 

edit. I've found it now. It's the 'DCS' application located in the 'bin' folder. I can't find a way to load your profile though YoYo.

Not F2, Use Shift+F2.

Typo, I was using shift + F2 all along. For some reason the drop down is working now and I can use your preset. Thanks

Delete the folder named reshade-shaders and the 3 files named DCS2_yoyo, dxgi, and dxgi.dll.

You will find them in the bin folder.

I got the ReShade UI on the 2D monitor but not in Rift. Could not get any shader effects in Rift either. Maybe I'm missin something??

I never use ReShade with JSGME, You have right, maybe its a good idea.

If the ReShade is "on" (in JSGME) You can use settings of ReShade in normal way without any problems?

No problems that I can see.

Just remember that if you create a new Preset, that file will stay in the game's bin folder when you deactivate the ReShader. I don't believe that file sitting in the bin file will be effected by Updates or Repairs.

FYI, YoYo's Preset is included in this JSGME version, so that Preset will "come and go" as the Reshader mod is activated/deactivated.

You can Cut/Paste new presets into the JSGME mods bin folder if you want to keep everything together. Just make sure the mod is deactivated before you do so.

The brightness I think is realistic..it is blinding bright at midday in june in a clear sky.

I would rather see a sim-wide sunglasses or helmet visor..hint hint ED.

Preferably made of the same stuff as the green glass on top of the Huey in 2.1.

Looking through it resembles the view through polaroid sunglasses.:matrix:

 

@YoYo ...I tried your profile.With all the fx switched on my fps went down by 15.(4k)

Turned all off but tonemap...its all thats needed on my end.

Ok, I did comparision with MSAA=OFF in the sim (no shiny cockpits but poor antialiasing, better FPS in default DCS 2.1) .... + Reshade FXAA + SMAA (profile in the first post).

 

It looks ok and help a lot to save FPS (for me important - no shiny cockpits).
