New Rift + Touch Bundle Pricing after Sale = 499.00

Once the current 399.00 sale ends, the new permanent price for the Oculus Rift + Touch Bundle will be 499.00. Certainly considerable cheaper that prior to the sale.

 

At that time, the Rift will only be offered as a Rift + Touch Bundle. No more Rift without Touch.

While it will still come with free games, it will not include the X-Box Controller or the little Remote as it has been.

 

Now I myself since getting the Touch Controllers have not used the X-Box controller since, but I do kind of like that little Remote. But one can do anything with the Touch Controllers that the Remote could do plus much more.

 

X-Box Controller and Remote will still be available separately from what I understand.

 

Also , word on the street is they sold out of the current bundle SKU's much faster than anticipated, so while the temporary sale continues on for 399.00, it will be the Oculus and Touch sans the X-Box Controller and Remote.

 

So be aware, if you have ordered depending on when yours shipped, you may get the latter. At least that is the info being posted over on the Oculus forums.

I ordered one like 2 minutes after they went on backorder at Amazon, hopefully it includes the Xbox controller. Amazon claims it will ship in a week. Backorder for those buying now is 3-5 weeks!

I ordered Tuesday from Amazon which had the $399 bundle with the $100 gift card. I don't really need the Xbox controller as I have an Xbox 1 but that thing hasn't been turned in in more than 6 months.

 

The rift and controllers have yet to ship from Amazon. I hope it didn't run out of stock and screw me over because I already received the gift card.

The rift should arrive the 19th according to Amazon and the controllers on the 25th. I wish they would come together because I think having to sensors at my desk will be better.

 

My main goal is to use it for dcs a-10c and the f18 module coming later. But I do plan on getting Arizona sunshine and a few other VR games to pass the time.

No big deal, go ahead and set it up with the one sensor then when you get Touch set that up with the second sensor then. I added Touch about 3 weeks after getting my Rift and did the same.

 

Fwiw, Robo Recall which is free with the activation of the Touch Controllers, is an absolute blast.

Thanks i used to have it so i know what im getting :p Earned back 120$ from my sale before too and got the TI over the 1080 i returned for the same price. Really cant complain on that so thanks Oculus for the amazing price! Hope a lot of simmers get to try it now Xbox controller or not

Got mine last Friday from a well known U.K. electrical chain & to my surprise they f****d my order up & sent me 2 sets of the touch controllers(4 in total) ������������������������

Although from all reports it looks like Oculus is now running behind on shipments due to the sale.

Amazon still says my headset will arrive tomorrow through the 21st but it's marked not yet shipped. Sadly I don't think anyone who ordered from Amazon is going to get it until August.

I was still within the 30 day return window. They responded with an offer of a $200.00 store credit on software and apps, no hardware. I accepted the offer and then decided to buy the touch controllers anyway. They should be here Friday from Newegg.

They should have just given you the credit, amazon would do that. I would have asked for like a $100 credit towards any hardware so you could order the motion controllers.

 

I'm still waiting on my bundle from Amazon that I ordered on July 11. The headset said arriving on July 19-21 and controllers 25-28th. Both still say not yet shipped. It may just have gotten delayed.

Don't worry, same thing happened to me.

 

To be fair their info does state 3 packages in the bundle. Think someone's got confused and think it's 1 touch per box.

I'm out in the woods hiking so I can't wait to be back Monday to try it out although being off the grid and away from work is nice. Definitely getting lone echo too.

I ended up buying the touch from Newegg for $99.00, no tax and free shipping, and I still have the $200.00 store credit for software and apps .I think I made out ok.

 

EDIT: Plus I got more free games from Oculus when I installed the touch controllers.
