SuperKungFu Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 it looks like the blades hit the tail? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
GGTharos Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 It looks like a crash I've experienced in BS, but I can't recall the exact circumstances. Probably getting into VRS at low alt and doing something sudden and desperate (and dumb) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
ED Team Chizh Posted December 29, 2006 ED Team Posted December 29, 2006 Ka-50 has a two crashes. No one pilots survive. :( Единственный урок, который можно извлечь из истории, состоит в том, что люди не извлекают из истории никаких уроков. (С) Джордж Бернард Шоу
ED Team Groove Posted December 29, 2006 Author ED Team Posted December 29, 2006 Chizh - i read somewhere that the 1st prototyps didnt had the ejecting system implemented. Where both losses without the ejection system ? Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
Force_Feedback Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Is it one of the flight tests? Because all I recall was a high speed ground collision. pilot pulled too hard, blades clashed, not enough time to eject. This one is new to me, seems like the pilot was trying to eject, but it took to long :( Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Deadman Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Link does not function for me either https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
RvETito Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 It looks like a crash I've experienced in BS, but I can't recall the exact circumstances. Probably getting into VRS at low alt and doing something sudden and desperate (and dumb) You have probably flown fast, then pulled hard on the cyclic, increasing the collective and most important pushed the right pedal. 192nd_Erdem Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Oh why don't they eject :( It looked to me like the blades cut the tail.
Force_Feedback Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Wether the ejection system could have saved his life is questionable, don't know how the k-37 rocket extraction system handles high sinkrates. There have been no actual ejections from the only helicopter equipped with ejection seats (don't whine 'X-wing this, X-wing that', it was a tech demo) :| The bad thing was that it wasn't doing any high speed maneuvers, makes me really wonder how that rigid coaxial rotor plane designed by Bell or something will ever fly, the one with the rotors spaced close together and a pushprop.
