Probably my twitch

as I can get that to work better than You Tube.

Will need to sort out a time.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Went All the way through this thread and really thought I would find the info on Tailnumbers, but no luck. I am trying to edit the colors but can't seem to get it done, Anyone have a raw PSD of the AV8_TNumbers and not the .dds? I think that will help me figure it out. (Or a link to a post on how to create them, I think it had to do with Alpha Channels? I couldn't find one)

Thanks!

If there isn't any then I'll do them tomorrow.

EDIT: I might have one... hold on.

Basically open up the dds file and change the colour to what you want and save as DXT1 with alpha.

The pylons and the nozzles look terrible on dark colored skins, will the T8 and T4 files be released soon for them?

can someone tell me how to open up the av8b in model viewer pls

Using AV8B as an example

Run your model viewer.

Then select "File" tab, then "Load Model"

Locate the following folder in your main dcs install:-

CoreMods\aircraft

Mine is F:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft

(or DCS World) if using stable version

Select the aircraft model you want, say AV8BNA then open the "Shapes" folder

Then select the file "AV8BNA.edm" then click open.

The default AV8B should now be visible in the viewer.

To change skin

Select "tools" tab and check the liveries tool box, or use CTRL + L

Find the AV8BNA in the left hand column and the liveries will be displayed in the right hand column, select the livery you want to use and click "Load livery" button below the lists.

Thanks for the quick response, as I see my custom edits to pilot now all have a white helmet but kept their St Andrews flag arm patch :D

Tim is working on this for us, will allow squads to place patches / Images on the rear of the helmet

attachment.php?attachmentid=202865&d=1548254798

WIP and still be worked on. plus it uses its own texture so you dont have to touch the helmet dds

Thanks very much

Another wee tip if you want to view self made skins or ones you've downloaded from ED user files, you need to have a copy in the root liveries folder dcs install, not in the user/saved games one.
