I tried my first mission with weapons, using four pods of 4 Zuni rockets each. I select A/G mode, switch master arm on but when I set the MPCD on stores I don't get the "cool" message on the left side and CCIP is not active. I must do something stupid but I don't know what :(

Select the Zuni's Pylon on the weapons management panel on the left below the MPCD, or select the OSB button above 105 to select Zuni rockets.

No, it's not that. Rockets are selected, here it's a video of what happens:

"Cool" message? Zunis are dumb rockets that do not need any cooling...

And CCIP not active? Your HUD said it was. Imo you should have been able to fire without problems.

But Weapon Release Button (not Trigger - that one is for Guns and Side(winder|arm) only!) did nothing?

Well I watched this tutorial video:

https://youtu.be/k0L8Bfz4CNI

When I say that CCIP is not active I mean that it is not highlighted and it doesn't show the decreasing distance from target as in the video. The only difference I can see with my situation is the "cool " message, but then maybe it was retained from the AIG-22? It's true anyway that I tried to fire with trigger and not with weapon release button, but there wasn't any decrease in range scale in the CCIP pipper

;3335415']This is the problem sir, go back up and try again and press weapon release.

I tried again and rockets fire pressing weapon release button, but I still don't have any decreasing range indication on the CCIP pipper...

It doesn't move even when I'm very close. The problem is that the CCIP pipper is not highlited, could it maybe be a problem of video graphic setting?

I just checked and everything is working fine in 2.2. It's definitely a problem of graphic settings, I'll use the same in 1.5.8 and I'll see tomorrow :smilewink:

Unfortunately that picture is not displaying, but I at least got a working range clock for Zuni rockets with the current version 1.5.8

Rocket selection seems to be broken in 2.5. At least in the Quickstart mission "Weapons Practice" in Caucuses.

I cannot get rockets to fire using normal selection & fuzing methods. Once selected, any change of fuzing from Safe gives "SMC Error Cannot find selected weapon release progmam".

It is possible to fiddle with the Manual dial and make them work, but you have to do things in a particular order:-

1: select weapon

2: Select Mode CIP

3: Set Quantity > 0

4: Set Mult > 0

5: Flick Manual Fuzing dial to N/T (It might be necessary to do this more than once).

Please tell me that it's not just me. ;)

I'm not using 2.5, but normally that error shows up when you have more then 2 types of weapons loaded. No clue is that's a real world limitation of the stores system (I haven't bothered to research it). Try it with just rockets and see if you get the same issue.

The fuzing is for the bombs.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Maybe it's just the Quickstart mission that's broken then. Because it sure as eggs is eggs, ain't working without a kerfuffle here.

NOTE: As mentioned above, they are OK when no other weapons (apart from gunpods) are loaded. Which is what you get if you load up the Q.S. Caucuses Mission "Rockets & Guns", but try the "AV-8B Weapons Practice" Q.S. Mission & It does what I describe & only fiddling with the Manual selection allows firing.
