When I watched the Wags video on the caucasus map it looks nothing like it does in my game. So it would help if we know what setting they are using including season and time of day?

I don't see a setting for Global Ilumm, where is it in the settings? Also, I don't see AA or AF?

Need to be running deferred shading on for that option.

Not sure why you would not see msaa and af.

I meant things like tree visibility and Clutter/Grass settings etc. Cheers!

Well, the higher these settings are set, the further you can see trees and gras. I don't know if Wags is running them on max, but you wanted to know how you can make the game as good looking as his, so just crank them up. Maybe it looks even better than, than in Wags videos if he does not run these sliders on max.

I agree with Q, if you've got a kick #!%&* rig, then max it out. I max all my settings to the hilt and she runs smooth as silk and I'll be doing the same in 2.5 , just saying

So if you lover the gamma settings you get a darker shade? And when increasing the gamma value you get more light to the dark so it goes more gray? Does it have any effect on night time? I run the default 2.2 gamma for now but will pay close attention to shades. No frame hit when adjusting gamma up or down?

EDIT: My settings

- Gamma 2.2

- Global Illum On

- Deferred Shading On

- AA to 8

- AF to 16

- Res 2560x1440

Gamma has no impact on frames. It just changes the grey values of the colors, so turning it up makes everything brighter and turning it down makes everything darker.

2.2 seems pretty high. Most people here seem to use values between 1.4 and 1.8.

Your Monitor & GFX card settings might also be contributing to the effect, so there is no one in-game setting that will suit everyone. For example on NVIDIA cards, Adjust Desktop Colour Settings can be set to allow "Other Applications" to control these, in this case DCS, or be set to use NVIDIA settings. So it might be worth checking that before tweaking too much in DCS.
