Mods-o_joy Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Just about what it says on the tin, having 100$ or more sunk into a game only for an update to have a botched launch break it all is not fun. A10C - Block 5+7, AV8B/NA Harrier, F-14B. Pentium G4560, GTX 1050Ti, 20GB's total, 1x16GB Kingston Hyper X, And a 1x4GB Avexir Core Series kit, fleamarket mouse/keyboard, i swear it works fine :megalol:
Tone71 Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 You're going to have to be more specific. What memory issues? What do you mean by "botched launch break it all"? And you appear to have forgotten to quote your specs. 1 Windows 10 Home, Intel Core i7-9700K @ 4.6GHz, Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (8GB VRAM) on 34" LG curved monitor @ 3440x1440, 32GB RAM, TrackIR 3 (with Vector Expansion), Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Pedals, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs.
lemoen Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 ED hasn't said anything so no use asking I guess. I'm one of the lucky ones with 32GB of RAM I bought before the prices went insane. Also, we are on a beta release, you should expect things to not work 100%, bugs come out when 1000s of people use software. You're going to have to be more specific. What memory issues? What do you mean by "botched launch break it all"? And you appear to have forgotten to quote your specs. 2.5 uses quite a lot of RAM, in a MP server like Blue Flag or 104th it can easily hit 16GB or more. So people are wondering if this is intended, the future or something else. That's all.

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 6, 2018 ED Team Posted February 6, 2018 Wew, thanks for clearing it up. although im mostly iffed at how any of the issues made it past QA The issue did not show for us during testing. This is why larger testing with a beta build is important. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? This is why larger testing with a beta build is important. perhaps the problem has not shows to you, because of the excellent equipment that you use for testing. Unfortunately the 2.5 is unplayable for those under 16Gb. I'm not criticizing, just giving my feedback keep up the great work  Windows 7 Ultimate, Intel i7 3770, 8GB DDR3, NVIDIA 680GTX.
Rudel_chw Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 ... having 100$ or more sunk into a game only for an update to have a botched launch break it all is not fun. I dont get it .. you download the BETA version of a future game version because you want to be on the bleeding edge of development, and then complain about a launch bug? ... why dont you simply keep on using the latest RELEASE version? 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
