Am I to correct that this would be the version from the 4-25-18 update change log post. If so is it currently available, or just info on up coming changes. I ask because I have tried to update the this version but the updater is not updating, and stay's at 2.5.0

Attach your dcs.log and autoupdate_log.txt we should see some clues

 

it is only the open beta that has updated at the moment

You can also convert your release install to an open beta install.

I had removed my old open beta install, but reinstalled 2.5.1 beta and see no benefits in having it. Thought that was going to be the purpose.:huh: I would like to see deferred shader remain because in 2.5.0 it looks much better than 2.5.1. It seems they are going to have to have two downloads, one for lower end computers and another for the higher end. 2.5.1 looks to be a down grade. They have been tweaking this thing for many a years and can't get it right for everyone. I know it beta but we'll see.

Got the beta 2.5.0. installed, and nothing else, so if i understand you correctly its update to 2.5.1 is not yet available ?

It is available, that's what many of us have been using since Wednesday. Maybe the installer from the website still gives 2.5.0 only, but run the updater now and your game should patch up to 2.5.1.

The updater in my Eagle Dynamics /update DCS tells me that "the installed version 2.5.0.15365.345 is up to date" ... so no update there

try do force a switch to openbeta with the updater.

I downloaded the DCS_updater_64bit.zip 2.7 MB, and it works as intended. Problem is that updating needs an absurd amount of disc-space (about 45 GB for copying and installing) and i have only 41 GB left on my SSD so i guess ill have to do what i did last time .... Uninstall/Re-install :(
