no i don't think its possible because (If i recall correctly) ms models are in .cfg format and it cannot be converted to .3ds. Therefore, it can't be converted to .lom file.

Yes this is really to bad, 'cause I'd like to try being a bomber pilot, similar to IL2..

Take a look at these...

Maybe someday Ed will be able to give us something along these lines, but of course they'll be better... you'll actually be able to blow something up

Nice but too clean. I suppose it wouldn't take to long to scratch it up a bit and paste bubble gum around. Then we would have a great A/C. Don't think I can hold my breath that long. I am almost out of breath waiting to see if we get some fixes for the F15 let alone a new one. Would be very nice addition though.

Don't we already have an AI-only Tu-160 model in lock on?

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Yes, and that's why I'm starting to play Wings Over Europe. Sure yeah okay, the FM isn't the best (as well as alot of things compared to LOMAC), but least when I strap myself in an F-14, I have an F-14 cockpit and F-14 this and that. Sure there's limitations, but really, sometimes you just gotta do something else.

Yes but the above TU-160 isn't an AI... You can actually fly it... Dont you see the cockpit with the controls...

This is what I'm working on, of course the texture only :D

It's not too bad, unfortunately I don't have a real one to go off of, but I enjoy flying it :)

... which don't work (at least most of them)

Alphasim is well known for making a bazillion of poorly modelled aircrafts for FS without proper avionics or flight model. Nothing to look at.

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

Yeah I know but the idea is right... This is my favorite bomber.. It would be a blast to be able to fly this in some Future addon from ED...

The Alpha controls aren't even 3D and lack a lot of texture for 2D ..

Yes thats right... All thought I'm still waiting for Alphasim to release the Concorde upgraded addon for FSX... I have it and was flying it in FS9... But I just can't handle the graphics of FS9 anymore.. Everything in that one is too unrealistic...

I tried to import Concorde to FSX but it just doesn't work properly.. you can see the externals without issue... But when in the cabin there's no needles, back face graphics or control lights on the instrumentation...

Just flight has it listed as a future project but... HEY!!! Its been about 7 months since FSX was released and there's not one drop of news about this.. And for that matter there are a number of sims expected to be released but there's only actually been 2 in the last few years "46 and FSX...

You can't really grow the genera properly at this rate.. But that's one of the issues that this hobby is famous for and its something that Virtual Pilots live with on a daily basis...

seriously do you even read the thread before asking these types of question. Same thing goes with the the question about Su-27 model, it takes a massive amount of work just to get one model in. And the Tu-160 shown above is for MS2004.

Posted

no he didn't but if you read the forums and look around for a few minutes you will find out, that there is no model for the -27 available and that that TU-160 is for MSFS

Posted

OMG, no you're just not getting it. There are no new 3d shapes other than the one on lockonfiles. The Tu-160 was for ms2004. You're asking for new models like it is very easy to do, in fact, it is very hard.

I know that we've actually allways had this bomber, but I think what they were doing on the Russian forum was makeing a better skin ?

I don't think that its flyable... But my thoughts are that it would be cool to be able to actually enter the cabin and take the controls and fly this baby to a target and drop ordanance...

You know like they have it set up in IL2..

But being the flight sim advocate that I am, I have the Concorde addon for MFS 2004... Well I've wating for AVsim to make the Concorde addon importable to FSX since the release ... And I've been checking their sight on a weekly basis just to see if they've made it happen...

Theres this message posted that reads "with something this complex it will take some time, but its on our list for the future development" and thats the Concorde, it doesn't even have bombing capabilities.. So you can imagine how complex it would be to simulate the flight chartereristics of the TU-160.. Unforutunatly I'll bet its near impossible to do here, especially since ED's future Aircraft will most likely all be AFM's...

It might just take them years to simulate this.. Oh Well... It was a nice thought anyway :music_whistling:
