Worrazen Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 There's a good reason things aren't official, things that get started may morph or evolve several times and the original idea replaced. I mean, the context behind a dynamic campaign has to be more fleshed out by the people who have experienced it in the way past (I only did basic research on it) and those who never played it. The question is, what will DCS be targeting for the dynamic campaign, something that is similar, or something that's twice as big as previously imagined. I'm not a dynamic campaing guy, but obviously I'm supportive, my advice is that you guys should be talking more in detail what really matters how would you like things to behave in practice I may have totally misunderstood the "dynamic campaign" in the beginning, thinking it's some kind of "live" battlefield where you don't have a pre-defined set of targets, unit positions, only the general goal of that day/moment and that you actually have to basically fly and play to reach the next "mission", your ammo and fuel would all ofcourse to the next "mission", so it would be all glued together, the outcome in the beginning would affect everything through the campaign, in essence I imagined it as a "campaign without waypoints". It was just speculation, I don't have a strong opinion it has to be that way at all, unless other people think it's an interesting perception. Modules: A-10C I/II, F/A-18C, Mig-21Bis, M-2000C, AJS-37, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, P-47, FC3, SC, CA, WW2AP, CE2. Terrains: NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf, Syria
sobek Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 this is some good news :) #6 reads : experience with multithreaded apps ......... yihaaa These are not the droids you are looking for. Same as with other parts of the sim, if something is rewritten or added, they want to do it in a separate thread. They have done so since the start of DCS World. They won't look for a RTS game specialist to rewrite the graphics engine into a separate thread. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!

EDIT: FOUND IT The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
