One thing you gotta love about renders, is that they can be beautiful sometimes..

Well i'm sure if you focus only on arcade gameplay and graphics only, you would get a lot of games looking like that :)

Of course realism of that SIM is proportionaly inverse to the level of beauty of those screenshots. I can get better with real photographs :D

I've said looks real not plays real:D

Yes it will be interesting to hear what the flight model will be like...

You might not even be able to use a joystick for control....

I think there is a HOTAS version ( copy of Saitek x45 ) for consoles

There was a HOTAS for AC4

and Yes while it was unrealistic to fly it really wasn't that bad you were able to stall and such nor was it intended to be realistic, but more importantly it was a hell of a lot of fun to play.

AC4 is definitely one of my most favorite games ever, based entirely on its level of fun (realism is only a factor when a game intends to be realist)

The only problem was that most gamers (uneducated :P) thought it was a realistic simulation and thus boring, whilst most flight simmers thought it was arcadey and thus broken/wrong/whatever and had a condescending view of it.

Try it is all I can say.

'Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation takes air combat warfare to new heights as it boasts the new "Dynamic Operation System" where massive battles unfold on a "living battlefield," as up to six independent land, sea or air conflicts can break out at any time at multiple locations as allies and enemies clash in real-time.' IGN

Thats another thing you won't see in LO-MAC for a long time either.

If I have the chance then I am going to check that out on a xbox 360 someday!

Get back with me and let me know how your console game turns out. I'll bet it's the same as any console game, arcade and easy.

Well it's fun and I enjoy it as well as LOMAC, and so do plenty of others.

I'm sure it's fun, that's why it's made, but acomplishing a kill in that game is alot less rewarding than a kill in lockon, even at the average level. a complete videogame noob could pick that game up and, within one hour, he could master it. in lockon, that takes months, but atleast it's realistic, and ultimately, very rewarding.

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Can't people play games because they are fun? Do they need to be realistic down to every little detail? I mean, that's why the flight sim community is so small isn't it? Because the average 12 year old and his play station have no idea which versions of the Su-27 can fire R-77's and from which pylons, they just want to fly around in cool fighter jets and shoot missiles at stuff. I have lots of fun play Ace Combat 0 on a 56 inch TV, its just a different experience than LOMAC or another flight "sim."

I agree with sp0nge.

I was simply voicing my opinions. and, I have nothing against other peoples opinions. however, this is the percise reason i do play sims, for the realism. the games are just too easy.

But i do see your point, and i respect that. no, there is nothing against having fun, and if that's what you do to have fun, then go do it, i'm not stopping you. :D

And besides, I'm personally not interested and actually purchasing a console...

I've been with computers for most of my life and even though I can get an X Box or playstation or what ever.. I'm just not going to...

And I'm sure that there are a lot of guys out there that feel the same...
