Firedawg Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Ambient/Environmental Sounds on the carrier would be great, (loud speaker call outs, alerts, radio traffic) just an idea.
normanleto Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Exactly. Plus realistic radio calls by AI during landing, including bolter - I think it is possible with AI monitoring you're on glide or not. It would be thrilling. ...10 years with dcs...
Growling Sidewinder Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 these are amazing ideas. I've been thinking the same thing, AI LSO, telling you to call the ball then u hit the comms and call the ball, the ambient noise on the deck. If they're going to add people to the deck they gotta be hi res good quality models with realistic movement. that part might a little trickier, would suck to look at this amazing hornet and then a 7 pixel aircraft carrier crew running around. Heatblur has a really nice hi-res crew member they're planning to release with their carrier & tomcat. Manuel_108 Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I guess they will add all this stuff to their planned standalone carrier module.

Eagle7907 Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Please yes! The deck sounds like sitting on a beach. Tailhook Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Would be nice if they could suppress the carrier engine sound to just the back end so all we can hear is the wind with canopy open. Intel i9-13900K : ASUS TUF RTX 4080 : 32GB G.Skill RipjawsV 4000 : TM HOTAS Warthog : HP Reverb G2
captflyby Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 Sound, done correctly, can add great immersion to your DCS flying experience. All sounds you want can be played/mixed with a good mp3 player software program. I run music on one, ATC on another, mix discord with another, and of course both simple radio channels. That is 5 channels in addition to the mix of sound you get through DCS itself. I used to use external sounds on external speakers and ATC/discord/simple radios on headphones & mic. These days I just use Surround sound headphones to mix all
