What are all the commands that the Sensor Control Hat does?

Looking through the manual the SCS is mentioned all over the place. Is there a list of what each position does based on the selected mode/sensor or whatever?

Thanks. I thought it might have more functions like the AV-8B Sensor Switch. Just AA and AG modes then for the FA-18..

Depending on the exact mod state it does a few other things and has a 5th position (momentary depression) associated with IFF interrogation. Not sure time line wise when this feature came about in comparison with the DCS LOT 20 Hornet though

Ok, thanks IvanK. I was hoping to find a diagram of all of it's commands. I even downloaded the NATOPS manual, but maybe I got the wrong one. It was for the F/A-18 A/B/C/D, But I didn't see what I was looking for. Seems like that one switch would be documented in one spot with all of it's functions listed.

Wait so from that pic the castle switch has 2 functions for each direction not seeing this in the controls menu
The control setup document hats, buttons, switches, dials, etc..

This is just 1 4-way hat. So it's 4 positions are documented for you to assign to controls.

You need to know the different functions it does based on which sensor is selected, or mode you are in..

The A10c has way more functions for many of its hats..

I found the following two tables invaluable learning the A-10C. Best way I've seen on presenting the various modes and button actions.

Apart from the Sensor Switch and the TDC nothing else is really context/mode sensitive in the Hornet though?

Seems like the Hornet/Harrier has quite different philosophy than the USAF jets - UFC and DDI control for the Navy, HOTAS above all for the USAF.

From page 111, 112 this is what I have.

And you cannot get to AACQ from ACM mode. It says that in a few places.. You can only enter it from BVR mode.

And on pg 89 of the EAG it says: 4. Assign TDC to the HUD (Sensor Control Switch forward). I assume it is being in A/G mode that makes SCS Foreward function for this?

EDIT: Updated the image after searching through the entire manual for 'Sensor Control'.

The SCS is difficult to simply diagram, or make a chart like those for the Warthog, because it is extremely context sensitive. What it does depends on what page is currently Priority, and on which DDI that page is.

I've got an illustrated guide to all Hornet HOTAS commands here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/51703800 It's not completely up to date (I should do that...), but it'll get you 98% there.
