Force_Feedback Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Should 1.12a users that run it on XP, without TrackIR upgrade to 1.12b? Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Aeroscout Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 It's too late now, i already installed it. My bro, who has vista, installed it aswell, but now, when ever he uses the cannon, the cockpit dissapears. it reappears as soon as he releases the trigger. how to fix/how to uninstall 1.12b? DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Aeroscout Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Like this just pertains to you? Sorry... never mind. i'm leaving this thread... PythonOne Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 regarding the 1.12b patch, is there any problem to install it on top of 1.12a? Even though i am running on XP, i just have an ego problem to install the latest. I know its recommended to install it over a clean install, but i have so many mods that it would be such a hassle.
Force_Feedback Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I tried it over 1.12a, no problems thus far, finally got rid of those 'fps tweaks' and now the fps counter is in the lower 40ies and I can see roads again :) fps tweak my behind, I get better performance at default settings. Gosh, I love the feeling of installing something new (even though it's not), It did install some SF-ralated crap, so guess my burner is on the fritz again. But heck, I don't whine, a patch is a patch :P Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
hitman Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 We're patchin down today, y0. Grab the bong and pass the cheetos.
SuperKungFu Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 yea i'll probably jump in soon with the patch, just wanted to make sure us XP users are still ok. So far i guess we get a new starforce load screen, and the trackir setting won't get screwed up if we go into options? lol i guess that's enough reason for me to patch (i hope). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
volk-19 Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 What is the difference between mirrors Mirror 1 (HTTP) - USA and Mirror 1 (FTP) - USA ? I tryed to install both of them and got "Error code 3".
hitman Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 So did I. Go to lockonfiles.com and fetch it there, its a bad download.

Really? the Mirror 1 (FTP) - USA one worked for me. sorryif this is irrevalent DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
tflash Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 It seems this is in fact a Starforce upgrade? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Shaman Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 There is good news also for XP users ! The TrackIR mistake is fixed (delete TrackIR.ini in the Input folder)! Thanks ED! ;) Really? It's not on the change list. Can anyone confirm this? warthogmadman987 Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 I thought we were all on 1.12a, 1.12b is new I think GG. But the fix list appears similar to 1.12a. Increased the power of the anti tank mine (landmine object in the Static Objects list). Ok, whether b is a or whatever, since when were there mines? I think I am getting these confused. These are not implanted in the ground right? What is the landmine object in the static objects list, cause i dont know if i have one.
PythonOne Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 it sounds to me that 1.12b does have some difference (other than vista tweaks) compared to 1.12a. ED should tell us these differences, even though they are small ones like the trackir thing. So would it be ok to install it on top of 1.12a?
TekaTeka Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 it sounds to me that 1.12b does have some difference (other than vista tweaks) compared to 1.12a. ED should tell us these differences, even though they are small ones like the trackir thing. So would it be ok to install it on top of 1.12a? You can install 1.12b on 1.12a. I don't think there are any diffrences between 1.12a and 1.12b except the SF driver. Chizh clearly said so. Maybe the old SF driver was the cause of the TIR problem. PythonOne Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 forgot to mention i was running on XP, so the 1.12b won't do anything to harm it? IIRC Someone mentioned his cockpit disappeared when he fired the gun.
Guest Mkiii Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 I too had errors with the file from LockOnFiles. I have the UK CD version of Lock On Gold on XP64. The file from here installs OK :- http://lockon.co.uk/index.php Make sure you get LO_Flaming_Cliffs_Patch_1.12b_EngCD_Gold.exe It does re-install Starforce, and asks for the Disk Key for the 1.1 CD to be entered.... Which is a bit of a problem, because there is no CD key anywhere in my package, quick start guide or on the CD. However, the game does run from the Autostart menu when I insert the 1.1 Flaming cliffs CD & press start. PS. After running the game from the CD (and ignoring the Starforce key request), I no longer get the key request. One improvement I have definitely seen is that the Mavs in the A10 now seem to lock on a good deal more readily. Before applying this patch the TV mavs in particular were very difficult to lock & the designator moved way to fast to fine tune. Now the designator seems much more willing to jump onto a nearby target. I don't get any disappearing cockpit when I fire. Everything looks pretty much the same, and the version number shown in the main GUI is still 1.12
Ramstein Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Edited :Its for Vista users only It does not say 'Only for Vista' in the Readme for the patch! or at least I did not see this and I looked all over for this.. please show us where it says this.. thanx.. :joystick: ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR

PythonOne Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Ramstein, just have a look at Chizh's post on page 3 of this thread. :smilewink: 1.12b won't hurt anybody who installs it, regardless of their OS. I think what Frost1e meant is that, if you already have 1.12a installed on an XP machine, there is no gain in installing 1.12b. Well, that's my interpretation of events anyway. :D Could you confirm if the trackir thing is fixed?
JohnnyChicago Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 I have installed 1.12b without any problems (Win XP , FC Web Download) , TrackIR works for me without deleting the ini file , only Walmis F-15 Mod needs to be reinstalled .
