I love my UFC every time i fly, it adds so much more immersion to the sim.

 

There's just one little thing that keeps annoying me:

 

As i fly in an almost dark environment, I have no chance to read the "alternative" functions underneath the buttons.

Is there a chance to produce some covers where the letters are translucent and let the backlit of the buttons though? I'd be glad to buy that add-on!

Rammount is what I used, basically bought a 6' arm, a lower attachment (varies because I don't know your setup, I'm in an Obutto so it bolted right on to the center spline), and then a iPhone 6+ X-grip. https://www.rammount.com/shop-all/top-solutions/phone-mounts

I'm just using desk mounts, I have TM MFD's bolted to the top of them. Thanks for the link, I think I can look at something similar to those.

I have mine mounted to the flat top of my MonsterTech stick support using industrial Velcro from a hardware store.

I have the same problem! I would love if the alternate functions were backlit. I would pay for a new panel as well. They do sell a backlit UFS panel here:

To me it also looks, well ... like out of the toybox ...somehow....

At least not as immersive as the Buddy-Fox work.

 

I was also thinking of painting the letters with luminous color but I doubt that would help a lot.

I agree, just doesn't look as nice as the Buddy-Fox. I'm considering trying to use some green led strips to light it up across the top. We'll see how it goes.

So it looks a little like a set prop from a Terry Gilliam movie, but I found the right collection of RAM mount accessories to place it firmly where I need it.

that´s a nice setup, Im keeping an eye of Stream deck but had my doubts because using VR I loose all the imagery stuff.

Yup, Stream Deck is nice but not really practical for VR pilots.

I use self-adhesive velcro strips and works fine :thumbup:
