Having the F/A18C/D would be a great tool because of the online squadrons out there. They can use it for the new up and coming squadron members.

+1 I really would like this idea for multiplayer training.

Would be very nice to have a two-seat variant on the Hornet, Viper, and any future products that have the capability.

It would be nice as it would allow the pilot to focus on flying the plane while the WSO can deal with the TPOD and bombs

I can see why some would want multicrewed multirole Fighter for COOP gameplay with a comrade, but the workload is not too extreme for single pilot,

. IF you just want to fly and not worry about advanced weapons or sensor management , there are simpler airframes available. The systems are manageable by a Single Pilot. I mean otherwise if avionics weren't, there wouldn't be more single seat legacies than 2 seaters which otherwise are largely used for Training purposess in the Navy. Save for the USMC where they employed the D's in forward combatm But even then 2nd person its more for assisting in coordination for the AFAC role, nut then again the Hornet as a platform was not ideally suited for AFAC given the 2 seater Legacies sport worse Loiter time than the single seaters.

that being said If ED were to make a 2 seater hornet module id rather it be the F/A18F than another legacy hornet, both due the extra endurance, and because it would be familiar and quick transition but yet offer refreshed experience at the same time.

Also the L-39 is a 2 seater aircraft Android it has shown that it can be done soo the Tomcat will be released and i think having the 2 seater version will become very useful. Not just for training but for war as well.

+1 that would drop the learning curve a lot. Most new pilots are afraid to buy a full fidelity modul because they think they can't handle it. F-14 will fill this role to some extent.

the F/A18C is already out they just need to expand on the model that they currently have

Really only the USMC uses the two seater (D) in a combat role, in their VMFA(AW) squadrons. That being said, the Navy uses the Foxtrot model in carrier air wings. AFAIK, the D model hasn’t deployed in a combat role with the Navy.

F/A-18F's arent Simple Dual Seaters either.

F/A-18D is a Clone of the Front Seat, F/A-18F isnt.

I know it's unlikely. but I'd honestly love to have just the external model to use with the current single pit. Always thought the "family model" was a little sexier lol

I guess I'll just have to hope that Heatblur does an F-14D then.
