We need more choppers. And not just AH-64Ds and AH-1Ws, although those are nice. But some non-gun platform choppers are needed as well. Allow me to elaborate...

HH-46A

CH-46D

SH-3G

SH-2F

SH-60B

SH-60F

CH-47D

KA-27

Mi-26

And so on and so forth. And I'm sure that other people can think of even more.

So there's at least part of my wish.

Yes! Helicopters are much more fun and interesting to fly.

I doubt we'll get an AH-64D, or the Eurocopter, too modern and the data for them would be limited or just wrong.

Would love an AH-1W (AH-1Z too modern), the Cobra just looks cool.

I'm not really interested in non-gunship platforms myself, it is a Digital COMBAT Simulator after all, although maybe a Blackhawk or a Chinook (which can be armed) could take care of any pickup/dropoff missions anyone is thinking about.

I'd really like the Mi-28, but I think Russian hardware is difficult to get data or a license for. A Hind would be cool, transport and gunship.

There is not the Eurocopter. Eurocopter (or Airbus Helicopters as it was renamed in 2014) is a company with a broad set of various helicopters:

Not all of them are as modern as the two I showed above.

In fact there is an AH-64D manual floating around on the net, around 1000 pages :joystick:

I would be happy with AH-64A, and I think it would be easier to master :D

I know polychop is interested in a OH-58D which would be amazing with the advanced sensors plus hellfire. Would be a nice middle ground with the AH-64.

A flight manual is not the same as performance statistics, though. I doubt the full capabilities of the Longbow radar would be in there.

I’m at a job site right now and was just watching a MD-500 variant doing high voltage line work, sling loading dudes and equipment between towers.

It got me wondering if anyone has an O/A/MH-6 in their pipeline. I love the type and it’d be awesome to have a zippy little infil/exfil bird to play around with. I also think it’d be fairly straightforward to model, no need for fancy sensor suites etc. Just a solid flight model, some guns and rocket pods and you’re gtg.

From things not currently announced as planned ; my personal rotary wish is to the see a Uh60 Blackhawk , although id be happy in general just about any member of the S70/H60 blackhawk family in use by the US armed forces such as the Air force pave hawk hawk or US navy knighthawk.
