Mr_sukebe Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 Hoping that someone can help. Just tried modding a labels.lua file, and I assume that DCS didn't like that, as it resulted in no labels at all. Hoping for a very minorly modified label file that will work. All I'd like to do is change the "near aircraft" for dot only option from a "^" to a "." I'm happy with the colours that the current DCS dot only labels applies for friendlies and hostiles. What am I missing and how do I do that? Additionally, if I "host" a server, how do I ensure that this minor modification is seen by ALL players who log on? My thanks in advance. 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

Morpheus Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 You can include a Config folder in your mission with YOUR labels.lua . Make your mission save it, then open it with WinRAR/WinZip. Prepare a folder "Config\View\YOUR labels.lua" drop it in the WinRAR/Zip .miz, all players will have your labels.:smilewink:
toutenglisse Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 I had same Failure with "new" labels system. I think I remember it's because Notepad is not compatible, you need Notepad ++ (?). I run this "dot only" label.lua file, on the old "Template" but still working. "." dots for ground and air units, "^" chevron for naval assets, and "*" asterix for weapons, with opacity and color blend varying with distances. File stored there : C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\View\
