Blacknemisis Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 I game on a 32 inch HDTV LCD and I know that LOFC does not support widescreen, but what about Blackshark? If its a stand along game I hope they support widesreen.
SuperKungFu Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 also, the easiest way to change it is through LoCFG. However, i think he knew how to "force" it to make it widescreen, i just hope Black Shark incorporate this into the options menu. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
*Rage* Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 But will there be a problem with view limts as in the Su25T? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 64th "Scorpions" Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 195.201.110.22
SuperKungFu Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 The stand alone thing was just a rumor, so its best if we just wait until ED makes an announcement. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
brewber19 Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Anyone know the settings for a resolution of 1920x1080? I tried an aspect of 1.77777777778 but LO just crashes :( Any help getting my HDTV working at its best res would be fantastic, thanks in advance. Azrayen Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 The aspect seems OK for 1920x1080 but are you sure your monitor & CG can handle it ? LO always crashes when those parameters are set out of the range allowed by your config. Check for refrech frequency, too (windows display settings). ++ Az'
Program2 Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Anyone know the settings for a resolution of 1920x1080? . I'm curious about this too. What resolution do you have LOMAC set at right now Brewber?
brewber19 Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 I only have it set to 1024x768, but have got used to and am now happy with the "stretch". My primary screen is a Dell 24" @ 1900x1200, my secondary which I use for LO:FC is a Samsung 40" HDTV @ 1920x1080. I run LO:FC @ 1024x768 as it seems the best compromise between resolutions the HDTV can do (they don't like many "intermediary" resolutions). What about yourself? Thanks brewber, Are you using the default aspect ratio 1.3?
brewber19 Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Rog, the default is 1.3333 (4:3 ratio) but it would need changing for any widescreen res (16:9 or 16:10) Thanks brewber, Are you using the default aspect ratio 1.3? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 487th Helicopter Attack Regiment, of the VVS504 Red Hammers
Dagger98 Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 I fly @ 1920x1080 with a ratio of 1.77777777778 on my Sharp Aquos and GF8800. However I haven't quite figured out how to set a good FOV, tried in view.lua and view.cfg but no luck yet.

Kuky Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 I think he'd want a stickie for setting up Widescreen monitors thread (ie the thread in the link) No longer active in DCS...
zaelu Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I too want (wish) that the game image aspect ratio to be selectable from within the game and the proper FOV for SU-25 and 25T to be user selectable (no matter some bugs would apear). Maybe the cockpits of the frogs could be a little bit improved so they will not make problems in wide view aspects? Also I am hoping the Ka-50 cockpit would be free from this problem given the fact that is full 3D and 6DOF capable. evo6tme Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Hi I was just reading this thread and must be missing something becouse in the resolution settings of the game (flaming cliffs) i have both 1920 x 1200 and 1920 x 1080 listed, do they not work or somthing ??. I`m ussing 1920 x 1200 on a dell 2407 and all seems fine.
zaelu Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 You are missing the FOV (field of vision) setting. Without properly setting it you get a croped vertical image stretched on a wide screen. do you see something wide like this? All the information that is in the first link is what you need to know, the second link was a thread started to solve the problems.
