Nealius Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 (edited) Juicy! Been waiting for some more mid-90s skins. Is there a skin to change the hull number on Forrestal for Independence? I thought there was one but I can only find Ranger. Alternatively, is there a layered paintkit for the Forrestal? I took a gander at the .dds files but don't know how I would replace the number without makign them look freshly painted. Edited November 22, 2024 by Nealius 1
Shadow-Six Posted January 8 Posted January 8 (edited) Hey folks, Can anyone point me in the direction of a working link for the Heatblur F-14A/B Tomcat Paint Kit, please? The link that everywhere points to is dead. Edited January 8 by Shadow-Six 1

Forwarding this from the HB Discord. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1u5AqJ6ztE8qv1MBScCOMPYR-a1S_wDF7/view?usp=sharing I put together a generic set of templates a long while ago, devoid of any of the squadron markings as to reduce lag on weaker systems. It has a password on the .rar: BuNO162911 Additionally, the templates are in .xcf format, which for Photoshop users, it will need GIMP to open and then re-exported into a .psd. I hope this may work well enough as a stand-in until HB manages to get their official one up. 3 1

Silent Film Posted March 8 Posted March 8 If I have already installed Nvidia DDS Photoshop plug-in, can I also install Intel DDS plug-in, and then choose which one to use, or I would have to uninstall the Nvidia plug-in?

I personally just use Paint.net (program, not site) Lets you convert a full skin rather quickly and while I work on something, i dont save it without compression 1 I have 600GB in skins in my Saved Games. 200GB of that is probably made by myself. Check out my DCS UserFiles section Join the Official Deka Ironwork Simulations discord server!

I've got paintkit version 1.0 for F-14 from 2019, and it looks so complicated with 9 folders. I have done so far just one skin for P-51 and another for Mirage 2000, and there were just two PSD files. Did you do F-14B skins and can we find them in the User Files?

_YaeSakura_ Posted May 21 Posted May 21 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3344901/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3344902/ In collaboration with McKronenberg... an overdue release of VF-114 Aardvarks and VF-213 Blacklions are now live and representative of the two respective squadrons' transitional phase from F-4s to F-14s at NAS Fallon prior to their move to NAS North Island to be hoisted onto the USS Kitty Hawk(1977). Note: Have noticed only around 25-30% of people who DL'd from User Files actually got their livery to work as intended, so I'll try to make it clear here with better text adjustment options. The Commanding Officer's Jet(NH 101 for VF-114, NH 201 for VF-213) is mandatory for all liveries to function, please DL it with the link in both uploads' description. 7 1

FriedrichNix Posted Monday at 08:58 PM Posted Monday at 08:58 PM Really? No valid link to the official paintkit? Would be really awesome if the file would be made available again.
