[RESOLVED] ERROR DX11BACKEND

I'm not having the same problems as many other people in terms of loading timeouts in multiplayer. FPS performance is good, and loading is longer, but not unbearable. I have been getting some strange crashes to desktop that I don't quite understand however. This happens in both MP ans SP. When I checked the log file, I found this:

Similar Crashes here. Attached is crash log and dxdiag file. Maybe Nicholas or the HB Team can let me know. This has happened five of the last seven quick missions in Persian gulf only, at least for me.

 

 

I have an intel 8700k, Gigabyte Gamer 5 MB, 32 GB of G-SKILL RAM, ASUS Radeon VII. Basic computer, really. All drivers up to date, no crashes on other modules within DCS. I have also flown F-15, A-10C, F-5, and no crash. Still love the Tomcat...…………..ANYTIME BABY!!!!

 

This only happens to me with F-14B and a in single player. haven't done much MP since tore up shoulder and have to pause a lot with one arm at this time.

Was there a track saved when it crashed, its helpful to play the crash track back for us to try and recreate the crash.

 

Unfortunately no. How can you save a track file if DCS crashes to the desktop? If this is possible, I will do it for future crashes.

Hey thanks for the reply. It doesn't crash but the log is constantly indicating that so wondering why and if there is a way to fix it.

Hi there, 

I am using Quest Pro , with openxr toolkit and Quad-Views-Foveated , Launches fine into main menu with no issues, When I select f16 free flight day, starts to load  then vr screen goes black then crashes, In the dcs log file only I can see is this error .Not sure what is causing the issues, started after the nvidia  update prior to the latest and dcs 2.9 update. all was working fine previously .

This condition about depth buffer resolution mismatch only seems to happen when these 2 users are using quad views rendering with OpenXR. The reported resolution do not even match those of the quad views recommended image rect, therefore it's not explainable how a bug in the OpenXR runtime / OpenXR implementation of quad views may be causing it.

My suspicion is on an uncommon setting in DCS causing a bug in the engine specifically when the engine uses quad views.

If you move the /saved games/dcs open beta/config/options.lua file it will be recreated anew.
