Occasionally the slats will bug out during takeoff and refuse to come in, very rarely it will even asymmetrically retract/deploy, retracting right after takeoff under 200 Kts of airspeed so its probably not damage, not sure how to reproduce as its happened at random both times.

i've had the same issue pop up a couple times, from what i remember it was always the left wing

Had it occur a bunch of times, usually after a landing on the boat. Mostly the left wing, but it happened a couple of times with the right wing too.

I am getting this when I use flaps and slats during combat. Not sure if it is because of the over-g or because of the overspeed. Would be nice to have more information about this, because I think it may be intentionally simulated.

It can be both due to over G and overspeed. In your BFM situation it is most likely due to overstress and structural damage.

However I still have it marked as bug, as it seems to appear also under normal operating conditions. Unfortunately we were not able to reproduce this yet, and since it seems to appear rather rarely, it currently ranks lower on the priority list.

However, if we could manage to reproduce it (and thus get to its root), we can push it of course.

I also noticed this. For me the left leading edge slat wasn't retracted while in cruise flight. And after a couple more landings, both leading edge slats would not retract. Aerodynamics seem unaffected.

I've gotten several un-called slat deployments recently.  Is this a random failure, or a bug?

I'd post a track, but it happened quite a way into the mission and the saved track file is too big, even when compressed.

Can you recall the conditions when they happened?

Are you able to reproduce it in singleplayer?

I was flying a single player campaign mission (Speed & Angels - Mission 14b).  Was about 1/3 of the way through the mission, up at 25k, 350 knots, not doing anything particularly dramatic manoeuvring wise.  Slats deployed by themselves for no particular reason.  I have them mapped to a thumb joystick on my Virpil throttle. It can't be an issue of accidental control input, because the flaps are not deploying, just the slats.

You'd be the first in this thread. You can upload it somewhere and link it here.

Does this work:  https://limewire.com/d/FpEEQ#SfslpJcFwt

EDIT:  I just watched the track back and the flaps do deploy briefly. The flaps quickly retracted and left the slats deployed, probably having been damaged because I was doing at least 350knots.

Download works fine  Track not tested.

Btw: the link expires in 1 week so better don't delete the file just yet. Some devs may wake up late and ask for the file again.

I tested what happens if you deploy manoeuvre flaps at 350k.  The slats don't deploy and the flaps quickly retract themselves.  So that rules out me hitting the button by mistake and doing damage.  I'm at a loss.  I guess it's either a random mechanical failure (which I've always had selected in the menu, but not sure is implemented), or a bug.
