Oceandar Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Just wait untill someone says its not realistic (just kidding) Yes, I feel it too but without "the best part" thou Cheers Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power. - Lao Tze
key_stroked Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Just wait untill someone says its not realistic (just kidding) Ask that person if they're sitting in a real jet.
TheSauvaaage Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 (edited) I can only speak from a VR point of view, but I never had issues with it Especially since you have a RIO/Jester to find you targets :) Still a nice update for monitor users  Edited March 29, 2019 by TheSauvaaage
QuiGon Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Just wait untill someone says its not realistic (just kidding) Yeah, who needs realism anyways? Now we only need an option to hide the cockpit struts to the left and right side of the HUD as they are blocking the view too! /sarcasm Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
TheSauvaaage Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Yeah I would never hide the stick due to immersion and I am eagerly waiting for the pilot body to be implemented (or is it already?) But if you have no VR/TIR I can see it being really difficult to use the displays properly. On the other hand I can't imagine how people still don't have VR or TrackIR. I played DCS 1 hour before deciding that 2d is out and VR is a must. Nowadays I only open DCS without VR to set key bindings/controls on a new plane :)

VampireNZ Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I personally like having to peer around/over the stick to check out target info - but that is using VR. I can totally see how it would be a pain without it, even just looking at that screenshot above, in VR you can see both entire FF gauges easily without even moving. Vampire

Eldur Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 The best part actually is the trim-related FFB centering, but it's kinda diminished by the virtual lack of lateral spring force at the moment. But we're getting there
