While I agree with the above, we are really a nitpicking DCS community.

I know why it is like that though. DCS is the best and only combat flight simulator we have and we are spoiled by the level of quality and detail it offers.

Yes, we paid for this map, we want it to be 100% accurate and as close to the real region as it can, but then again, are we ready to wait years for it?

oh, man, you've got that so right .. If I'm fed up with the constant whinings: the moon not large enough, the map is too small, the texture is blurry, the clouds are ugly ... I can only imagine how the developer must feel with this kind of complaints.

If I were on their shoes I would long ago have changed the business focus and do instead military & civil simulation for the professional market, and leave this gaming shit behind.

You might be right in general about some of the complaints,

But you miss 2 points here imho...

1. This is the “bugs and problems” thread, made for reporting exactly that.

2. This is a high fidelity simulator, the highest for civilian use, accurate to the last unclassified button, so it is expected to be on par almost about every where in the simulator.

ED and their developers know exactly to what crowd they are selling their product to,

They also release incomplete content knowingly, and expect the community to help with finding their bugs and problems,

hence this thread and the open beta version.

So I see no point in trying to make that part of the community, that do report problems, which not all are real, but still mostly helping the devs voluntarily, for free, find their errors (it is a commercial product we paid for, remember?) feel bad about it.

It’s only contributing to the level of this amazing simulator.

Hardcore community = nittpicking

Cheers

So, this thread is actually a “bug report" ? Hmm, I surely didnt realize that ... probably because the constant nittpicking was getting on my nerves ... this constant demand for absolute perfection is a bit too much for me.

Personally, I find quite funny that we have a 'Persian Gulf' map without the 'Persian Gulf' international airport (IATA: PGU, ICAO: OIBP), even though you can see it in the map tiles at the appropriate location...

No need to get upset my friend :)

Actually the original poster here has a valid point which is far from 'nittpicking'. there already is a model for solar panels, and it's obvious they did not use it correctly. he pointed it out. also the ruins with American Printings...

No big deal, but an error - valid for this thread.

ED IS ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR STUFF LIKE THAT... (I certainly hope so...)

I would understand you more about "moon size" complaints, which I personally, only yesterday posted about, but it was not a complaint by the way, it was a mod request, in the MODS thread.

I'm sorry, I mentioned that without realizing that you were the OP there .. I actually didnt even visited the thread, as the title alone drove me off :( I just saw it on "New Posts" and mindlessly added it to the "nitpicking list" that I had been building on my head with all the recent threads of that type that somehow seem to be more recurrent lately.

I'm probably just tired, so I will take a break from the Forum for a while, to just play with DCS and rest a bit :)

Cheers.
