Tried with " Limited " but nothing changed

When did ED made the last change / update / modify / to the clouds ?

I didn't play much in the last 9-10 months

Purchased the F14B, few months ago, did some quick tests, and now with the amazing F16C

Test limited and full with this image, the one that shows all the correct black range is the correct setting for your screen - on my screen if I select full the first 15 squares are pitch black, with limited there is a gradual transition to a lighter shade.

Yeah at first i though it looked okay with Full, only first few squares were black with a slight transition but having tried limited it is far more noticeable. Hopefully this sorts out a few quirks i have been having recently since getting new monitor. Thank you

Yep this is especially helpful for those nighttime missions in DCS, I reckon many people have the incorrect setting and this makes darkness overkill.

With a monitor ( not TV ) it's recommended to have it FULL and RGB

There are a lot of settings : Gamma, Contrast, Brightness, if the black is too black

Depends it varies from monitor to monitor, some are designed for full RGB while others aren't, it's best to check first.

If your display would be the error then we wouldn't be able to see it.

Just wait till we get the new clouds, then it should be solved/fixed.

This year, maybe?

" How are the weather improvements coming along? (clouds that don’t ‘spin’ in VR anymore, more cloud types, thermals, turbulence near the ground as seen in Mover’s low level video)

We are in the process of developing a new cloud system that will support several types of clouds including cumulus, cumulonimbus, cirrus and the variations thereof and, of course, we’ll also include multilayered cloud structures "

It sounds great.

I tried to find an answer to this issue, and still don't know if it's hardware or software related

If the TV has this " posterization " effect - issue ( or color banding ) would that be visible on nVidia GE recording ?

Honestly, i don't see anything weird in your screenshots at all.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

I see over done cockpit scratches that catch the light.

Or this short video

I see baked in cockpit reflections when you look up.

Are those what you are noticing ?
