sorry for slowing down guys..

Real life is killing me :cry:

 

About A-10..

model was finished as you all know..

I was planning to give the skinless state to the alpha testers but couldnt make the deadline of my own..

Animation is still on works..

Finished parts..

Rear gears open/close

Front gear open/close

Air brakes, Stabs, Rudders, ailerons done

Canopy open/close

cockpit ledder open/close

 

Unfinished parts..

Rear gears up/down/wheel rotate

Front gear up/down/wheel rotate/left/right

Flaps open/close

Pilot head

Reafuel hatch

 

Than we need to adjust the size and cockpit place and pylons..

 

Than wheel and formation lights

 

Than unwrap and skin

 

Than damage model..

 

For animation part.. i hope i will finish it tomorrow..If real life wont interrupt..Size and pylons adjustement is next day..

 

Unwrap and skin can be sheduled after alpha test..

I bet lots of things to fix will come up..

 

thats it for now..

Don't worry about it, no one is forcing you to do this. So take your time, real life comes first afterall. That's why i was a bit surprised when you mentioned the first release date on monday. As for a side note: in future cases, leave yourself some time for a deadline so there won't be any pressure on your side. There are some rude people around the forums and they complain so much if the mod doesn't show up at the estimated release date. But they fail to realize you are doing this out of your own good faith. So keep up the good work and take as much time as you need.

ok guys..

latest update..

 

Animations are done except pilots head..

i want to work a little more about the pilot..

 

Rotor blades are turning if the main wheels are turning..

i used the same argument..

that means.. on the runway, while taxiing and when landed rotor blades will turn..

i guess it better than nothing..specially on server games..

thats the best i can do..

 

And for ALPHA testers,

Superkungfu, mustang, warthogman987..

Maybe you can make 2 types of rotor blades model. One is stopped and one is blurred flat dish (we don't see the blades when it rotates fast). And switch 2 models by the canopy open/close argument. You see the stopped blades when the canopy is open and the blurred dish when the canopy is closed. How about this idea?

how about using gear up/down state for changing the blades?..

When gears down we c the rotating one,and gears make the blade rotate

when gears up, we c the blurred one...

 

i guess it will work....

what do you think??

Awesome, Yeniceri! Thanks for giving us so many updates. Seems like the model is progressing nicely. Keep up the good work.

Alright guys, time for one of the first screenshots in game of this bad boy. I guess I'll answer one of the most popular question: how is the fps?

Answer: Not bad at all!

Here's the screenshot. Of course keep in mind there's no skin yet.

4 brand-spanking new A-10s fully loaded, and check out the fps. My rig specs is in my sig. The detail of this thing is awesome, I'll post more pic eventually after I analyze it more for Yeneceri.

Yeah, that's a better idea.:thumbup:

Correction;

I noticed a possible problem. You will see the stopped blades on landing approaches.

Using wheels and canopy might work.

Thats a fact...

but there is one problem.

canopy is not a looped argument as far as i know.

when i open the canopy, blades probably turn only once,

but the wheels are looped arguments which produces turn motion..

you are right about the approach problem, but we need to find a looped argument to attach the blades.

Keep the ideas coming please Teka..it means a lot..

 

I wonder is there an arg to make the gun spin while firing. I probably have to ask the ED team about this.

 

Mustang says it turns on the stock model (didnt checked yet)..

i am looking for the argument but cant find it!

 

edit: Just checked the stock model.the gun is not turning!maybe something wrong with my lockon..
