Yeniceri Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 i dont know any of the cockpit parameter so i cant connect any dial on cockpit.. contrails are outside the model and in the code so no go! any ideas besides flaps? SuperKungFu Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Hey Yeniceri, in the PM i sent you about the various improvements...that one circular attenna i pointed out in the real A-10 picture (the one near the canopy), yea you can ignore that. After talking with mustang, and GrayGhost, we came to the conclusion that was on the A-10C model and not on the A-10A model that we are currently modeling. Also, just to be safe, i kinda posted the wrong wing in comparison for the wingtip. After looking at it carefully, i should have posted the right side of the wing rather than the left since the real pictures shows the flaps on the right side. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Yeniceri Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 thank god.. that upsidedown salad bowl was soooo ugly :) [sIGPIC]http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa200/misikci/41-imza-1.jpg[/sIGPIC] "To infinity...and beyond!.." SIM-MOD Modeler TURK!
SuperKungFu Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Alright here's a question for the community, so if you know the answer please speak up. We are having a bit of a shadow issue. From the external view, everything looks fine But inside the cockpit, the canopy appears to be open I believe this was the same issue with walmis F-15 but that model the canopy was missing from the cockpit view. graywo1fg Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 whaaaa? that is wierd... no ideas here. something with the way you wanted the rotors to spin with the canopy is all i can think of but that probably wont help.. Merc Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 It could be with the canopy argument. Looking at the args, the canopy seems to become hidden at some value. But that might as well be wind taking it off. - Nachtwolf

USSR_Gys71 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Ladder work with arg38 ? And pls make model gray. Nothing is visible
Yeniceri Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 Ladder work with arg38 ? And pls make model gray. Nothing is visible I find the ledder argument..its argument 91 or something.. but not working.. i attached it to canopy open.. At 8800 graphic cards i cant c anything either.. but it works the dx9 cards.. the absence of skin is the problem i guess... What about smothing group? Later? smoothing group for what?.. Its smoothed.. Arg3 - is right gear 5 - left I noticed that..will it make any difference? They always move together anyway!!.. Yeniceri Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 oh them.. i wasnt planning to smotthe them.. the skin will cover the corners.. smooth make to much poly and its already very hi poly.. i can do it after some time... the main visible parts are all smoothed.. Edit.. Fixed the ailerons arguments.. fixed the ledder open state.. [sIGPIC]http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa200/misikci/41-imza-1.jpg[/sIGPIC] "To infinity...and beyond!.." SIM-MOD Modeler TURK!
7rooper Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Smoothing groups don't add any more polys. it's Meshsmooth that does. What smoothing groups do is assign the same lighting casting coordinates to all the polys in the same group giving the effect of no visible edges. I guess you already know how to use smooth grouping. Mustang Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Heres some from me, from the very latest version :) It looks grey in colour, cause i'm using an ATi X1950Pro w/full shadows on, this won't be an issue once this baby gets a skin or two ;)
