Both of these have been removed from Wags’ post talking about planned weapon systems. Are they out despite the fact that the hornet will get them and the only thing required for the F-16 to utilize them is a software update?

You’re a month late for April fools day ED.

Cool great news. Even more accurate it will seem. I can't wait to try this module.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

how is strict realism an argument when, by ED's own admission, certain features are intentionally omitted or distorted anyways? if aircraft #5235-z block 47X tape 5.2 predates an armament's introduction but would otherwise be compatible with a minor avionics update, i don't think it would be crazy to make that stretch for the benefit of your players

We will make our products as real as possible when it does not involve using information that has no place in an entertainment product. Correct payloads is far from that.

Thanks

Upon further research, neither would have been accurate for an F-16CM, USAF/ANG, in 2007.

Thanks

So why not consider your F-16CM a 2008 model instead? It seems a bit ridiculous to omit two highly anticipated weapon systems from your module because your target date is six months before a software update. Why not include them to give customers more options? Really struggling to see why I should buy the F-16 when I already own the F-18, especially after what seems to be a string of anti-consumer decisions and posts from ED over the past several days.

Why not err on the side of more content and options for players?

I think at this point you can trust ED to get shit done accurately. Keep in mind the government is watching. ED is not going to release classified information and get shut down and jailed. Common sense, man.

They might not have access to the manuals that show how these things are implemented. They work off of what they're given/can find in a way that is very legal.

That's the point, JASSM was one of these features which could help me decide to get F16. Now, without these, it is only plane with new user interface, new tpod and HTS. Compared to hornet features, its loosing quite hard and it's not only my opinion, but also people from my group.

ED said that cant share new carrier features because of $$, so i don't understand why they resign from JASSM, if this feature could help people decide to pay ED for the viper.

If its not realistic for the aircrafts time period, by all means keep them out of the sim. It’s unfortunate, but I’d rather have an accurate representation of the F-16 then a fantasy one. Thanks for the update!

Man, no JASSM is disappointing, I was really looking to it. I noticed no GBU-32, either.

GBU-32 is based on the MK-83 1000lbs class weapons. Not normally carried by any USAF aircraft AFAIK.

In 2008, the only airframe that carried it (besides the boat people) was the F-22A.

Pretty much where I stand, my most anticipated module just became one I no longer have any intention of purchasing. The continuous anti-consumer behavior doesnt help either. I was very hyped for this module and it was going to be a day 1 pre-order for me but in the last few days my drive to play DCS has fallen to zero...

Modules: FC3, A-10C, M2000C, MiG-21bis, F-86F, AV-8B NA, F/A-18C, F-14A/B, F-16C, F-15E, F-4E, A-29, Eurofighter Typhoon, A-6E, MiG-23MLA, Nevada, Persian Gulf, South Atlantic, Syria, Afghanistan

We make study sims, and are striving for the most accurate representation of the model we can get the most information on, and that is public legal information. If you want guessing and Frankenstein monster Vipers, you will have to look elsewhere. We are making the DCS: F-16CM Block 50, and whatever should come with it used by USAF and ANG, circa 2007.
